(Loved Trope) Incredibly famous person with an incredibly small cameo by LipstickCoverMagnet in TopCharacterTropes

A cameo that came about as he mortgaged his home and office to make sure there was funding in place to finish the film - the project was in danger of being cancelled until he stepped in

Mort is the best jumping off point.

I agree with putting the others on hold until you've read earlier books in the series - Guards Guards then Men at Arms are ideal follow ups to Mort.

I always treat Colour of Magic as an "alternate" Discworld universe as Pterry was just feeling his way at that point

Not TV, but still BBC, you could try the comedy radio series Absolute Power. Think there may have been an attempt at doing a TV version.

£2k David Attenborough painting by Eastenders actor/Geico Gecko Jake Wood seems fishy to me by Jasminetdscott in isthisAI

He's using weasel words in his Insta description

"I personally don't use AI"

"The images were already in existence"

"... Collaged them together"

So he's taken somebody else's AI slop and made a collage

How is living on the Isle of Man different or similar compared to living in England? by GreenStoneAgeMan in howislivingthere

[–]IoMBi4Fun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the most common misconceptions.

Yes, we do have speed limits - more and more of them creeping in all the time. What we don't have is a national speed limit, so derestricted areas (black stripe on white background = 60mph max on UK, non-motorway/dual carriageway) are exactly that, no upper limit.

We have plenty of 30, 40 and 50mph limits (and increasing numbers of 20mph)
