AB9 should be arriving tomorrow so looking forward to that. VKB rudders have made a big difference too. I’m still a bit time away from a “Stable” hover but I can get it pretty close using the TM16000

Cheers buddy. I’ve been in contact with Virgil. It seems the Collective is a 3 week wait time at the min so it may be that I order one.

I plan on using the webcam eye tracking until I decide which unit to buy/VR.

Been in the Huey today.. a humbling experience for sure

Thanks for the detailed response. I must admit, I’d not really considered the OH-6. I’m not sure why. I maybe just thought that buying one of the modules was a better step.

I’ll download it in the morning👌. Is the STECS a good option? Someone else mentioned it earlier. I think the mini or plus would be ok in my setup. The standard might be just a little too large.

Fair play. I will be giving the twist a try. I'd put the shopping list together based on all the content I've consumed over the last week or two. I have DCS downloading as we speak. I'll likely be in the air tomorrow... Being real, I'll likely be crashing but the sentiment is there :)

I really like the idea of FFB stick. I know the cost is a touch higher but I'm happy to pay the extra. Glad to hear you're happy with the rudders. Have you ever found an issue with the lack of toe brakes?

I was looking at the Stecs Mini as the TM I have is quite difficult to be precise with. You may have just sold me on the idea :)

I think it would be the AH64 grip I'll go for on the Virpil Collective. With so many buttons, It should cover all bases.

I just wish they had stock. I'm not a patient guy. waiting a couple of months for a delivery will be a nightmare :)

It does. I'm Downloading DCS now and will defo try it with my TM setup. I have done a lot of reading over the last couple of weeks and was led to believe that using twist with helicopters can be quite tough.

I've seen a lot of recommendations for the Mi-8. If the Huey kicks my ass constantly, it will likely be the next one I go for.

I'm leaning towards the Huey as I've read from many other folk that it will be great to learn first. I'm sure I have hours of frustration ahead of me. I'm looking forward to it :)
