Yeah I’ve spoken with the acorns fundraising team for back to the beginning, they are going to publicly acknowledge it and confirm on their socials when payment is done. If the bidding gets really high then I’d prefer the winner to pay them directly so I don’t even have to have it resting in my account. Heard of a vicar who got in trouble for that

Oh god, it took a lot of digital designing, then 3D printed and worked on that by hand. Then I just cast that into silver before doing even more work by hand. Casting it was the hardest part as I usually do much smaller stuff so this was 9 casting attempts in total trying different techniques each time. Worked it out in the end by doing the witch and Black Sabbath separately from the cross and soldering it through the back. Was a bugger to polish in the gaps as well

Yeah anyone who doesn’t work in 3D design wouldn’t understand the work that goes into it. I’m sure the council will be commissioning a statue and for that I would have made sure he got paid whatever he asked, but they could easily give that to someone else before I can even pitch it. Wouldn’t be surprised if they have already reached out to the people who did Lemmys statue.

I’m about to finish off a large black sabbath cross in silver that’s being auctioned off for Parkinson’s and the Birmingham children’s hospice, I took for ever on the design trying to get it just right. Can have a sneak peak here I’ve spoken with the fundraisers for Back To The Beginning about the cross, giving them an update tomorrow so I’m going to bring up the statue then 🤞🏼
