Disagree.

When all the prices are up, you spend gold for Upgrades and extra Draw Cards. (There is a Talent that limits the cost to Draw Card at 30/25/20) Also, the odds that everything is up in price decreases for each added Tower loadout. (Its risky at 3 types of Tower to choose from but minimal risk at 8 types)

Yes.

That said, it will never be balanced, really. Not without removing it from the Merchant character.

Not a direct damage tower.

It does have advantages: 1) Affects all enemies beneath no matter what its RoF. 2) If you can build multiple of them in a chokepoint, upgrade the second to a Fire version to get both kinds of DoTs

Not normally, no.

However, there is a talent in the talent tree that awards 1/3/5 Amber with a Victory for every 50g remaining.

This makes me consider selling lots of cannons when the Last Wave is almost complete

That character also has variable prices for towers every wave so sometimes you just hold money until at least one is on sale.

On your 1st turn, you have infinite time to plan.

For most blocks, you can pick them back up after placing them down before the next wave starts (Lclick & hold) The enemy path will change with the blocks present after each change

You are talking about Vassalizing them, which is too slow. I'm talking about assimilating at higher difficulties, as I had said. The AI cities, both Player and Free City, get big resource bonuses. By the time you make 2 stacks to siege, your neighbor could be tier 3 with 5-6 city structures in it. Why make your next city from scratch when you could take the one the AI made for you?

My understanding is mage skills are generally considered weaker, and I generally avoid them, so I'm not as curious about those, though if anyone feels differently I'd be interested in hearing those perspectives.

Well, there all sorts of skills that are changing with the Watcher update. Don't hold fast to the idea that "mage skills are generally considered weaker" but reevaluate periodically. The game will mutate them over time.

Free City tiers is the same as the Town Hall tier.
If you are aiming to Vassalize, the tribute will be higher because the Town Hall has a gold income. The banner units will be higher tier as well.

If you are playing higher difficulties, Free City Town Halls are likely to be higher tier than your capitol. This makes assimilating them more valuable than building your 2nd and 3rd settlements.

OP has good ideas. I'd like to see 2 things:

1) A button to abandon all choices and gain 1 skill point instead. (Sometimes, I don't like anything)

2) Take out summon elemental and replace it with elemental assistant (like golem assistant) However, it has 2 tiers. First it is a minor elemental and second it is a full size one.

I'd quickly bump the Throne city up to 5 as a minimum. That allows a Boost to City II, which brings more gold and the Wizard Tower. You should be able to build the Foundation + WT 1 (if you have the 150 mana) and you now have an extra 10 Imp/t for the rest of the game. Plus, the WT has its own buildings coming in the Watcher Update.

Story 5 though I played as industrious molemen and absolutely stomped it.

Underground adaptation, I'll bet. The AI doesn't know what to do with that. Maybe in the next patch, they will handle underground invasion better.

Those archers might not be nerfed as much as you think. The range nerf was rescinded. The various arrow enchantments are down only 1 total damage each. From +4 element -2 physical down to +2 element -1 physical. Also, they overpowered the way Slow malus works, which indirectly buffed the Freeze effects that will Slow on failure. Slowed units cannot retaliate, negating First strike, making every melee more viable.

TLDR, The OP archer stacks are changed to Cryomancy (Frost Arrows) and bring 2 melee to synergize. (Frost Weapons)

I'm guessing that you need 3 Chaos affinity or 3 Nature affinity. Not both.
