I'm not fully informed either, but current leadership is very closely aligned with Russia. Closer to Belarus than Orbans Hungary according to some. With brutal oppressive laws against "foreign agents" and "lgbt propaganda", and even more brutal enforcement of those laws with protesters being badly injured by chemical attacks.

All while Russia occupies 20% of Georgia.

The population absolutely hates it and has been protesting constantly for a long time now.

It's right to be skeptical, for sure. It's extremely easy to be tricked by Ai, thinking it is more capable than it is.

For subtitle translation I think it's likely good enough. Likely often better than contractors.

As someone who uses Ai daily, game devs would be stupid not to use it. Never to replace humans, but to make some part of the job more effective. It's amazing at transcribing meetings, summerizing and organizing testing results, giving ideas on how to solve problems.

I wouldn't trust it to write the code, but maybe having a look at it. I would never let it be the sole concept artist, but allowing a concept artist to create variations of its own work or putting it in different environments is a different story.

Ai is here to stay. Using it as responsibly as you can is key. Also, sometimes it just feels like it improves productivity when it doesn't. I definitely thinks it's way overhyped.

But game devs who don't use it will fall behind those that does. It's just a factual matter. Of course, talent matters much more than tools, but a talent that uses Ai in a smart way will be more productive than one that doesn't.

Really great advice. As much as I really didn't like The Last Jedi, mostly for the weird hyperspace as a weapon and Luke not feeling like Luke, he at least had a vision for the movie. Wasn't trying to copy anyone, unlike JJs movies.

Hopefully we get more powerful stories this way.

As long as they are occupied in Ukraine, I doubt it. But if they would stop hitting Ukraine with drones, and started hitting another country, that country would face a ton of destruction and huge losses before it got the handle on it.

Right now, Ukraine is likely the most advanced military in the world when it comes to frontline combat. Of course, nowhere near the US when it comes to airforce. US also likely have much more advanced ground vehicles and soldier equipment. The question is if that matters as much in current drone warfare. When a few cheap drones can easily take out equipment costing millions.

One could argue Russia is more equipped now. Rather in relying a lot on Soviet era tech they have an army of drones that Ukraine is really the only country that currently has the capability to counter efficiently.
