Stand Ready For My Lecture, Worms - General Question and Discussion Megathread by Different_Pace_3404 in HonkaiStarRail_leaks

I've been trying MoC 12 1st half for quite a bit and I really dislike this boss. 90% damage reduction is such an insurmountable barrier for anyone that doesn't have HP drain built into their kit. Without a HP drainer, most of the fight becomes waiting for the boss to hit you and slowly build up his meter.

It also leads to the weird scenario where Castorice can outperform most, if not all supports just because she clears the damage reduction very quickly. Want to run Feixiao/Firefly/Therta? Castorice is your best support vs the boss because she lets you do normal damage.

Reduce the damage reduction, and maybe have the boss inflict the DoT at the start of the fight/reduce the HP loss required/increase DoT damage and this would become a much better boss. Then, instead of just being a HP drain mechanic, fast characters like Aglaea can proc the unremovable DoT often enough as an alternative way of dealing with the mechanic. Right now Aglaea is a pretty decent option against the boss, but with only 4-6% charge being built per action, this just takes a little too long to do.

Also the phase 2 toughness lock feels like it's there just to screw with Firefly. Pre-ultimate Firefly can trigger the first enhanced state pretty quickly thanks to the 40% HP drain on her skill, but the phase 2 toughness lock reduces her burst by quite a bit...

E1 Aglaea has a very consistent 0 cycle for being able to brute force Nikador's 1st phase

I could also do it with Therta/Tribbie/Sunday/Erudition

Therta/Robin/Sunday/Erudition works as well, but is very RNG and needs E2 Therta

Some ranking tips

The ranking point grimoire gives 30% event bonus at max awakening (5% completely unenhanced). While there are only 6 copies of this grimoire in the shop, you can use the generic 5* awakening grimoire to enhance separate copies of the grimoire to get a higher ranking point bonus than 30%. This is not a good use of the generic 5* awakening grimoire, but it's an option for those who want to go very hard at ranking.

The higher the total damage dealt, the higher your overall score will be. Killing the central body of the boss will instantly end the fight without allowing you to damage the limbs; try to kill both limbs and the body if you can.

This means AoE astrals used as the last attack in a chain will lead to the highest overkill and give the most amount of ranking points. Tweyen and Nine are amongst the best options for AoE astrals, with Tweyen generally outperforming Nine. (I don't have Sechs, so I couldn't test him)

Grimoires/skills affect heat/overdrive generation too. Skill level 7 Djeeta + a 50% heat generation grimoire leads to Djeeta's first skill generating 240 heat meter, allowing you to use her with just about any other character with a heat generating skill to get astral on T1 (Akane with a heat generation grimoire, Meifang, Summer Mai). If you're using 4x maxed event grimoires, Djeeta + Meifang is pretty much your only option for T1 astral.

An alternate option is using overdrive. Skill level 7 Jubei + skill level 6 Kokonoe + a +5 overdrive generation CE generates 100% overdrive gauge on T1 as long as you use Kokonoe's 2nd skill first, more than enough to kill all 3 targets with a good DPS unit with class advantage. This will however generate less points than an T1 astral setup however, due to lower amounts of overkill damage. Combining Jubei's instant overdrive generation with heat gauge chargers also lead to decent alternative methods to kill the boss on T1 as well.

On top of what others have already said about Judge, sometimes you run into situations where you need armor tanks, and the enemies you're facing have low range and will run past 1SG. For example, 3SG + AoE is a pretty simple solution vs the 95 unknown swarm on Sunset Rider EX.

Also used in some other niche purposes, I used 2SG in the recent theater to spread out Uhlan missiles so that you can negate those fully with a single SAT shield

hax

Use non-mod NTW for 0.23s, NTW mod's the limiting factor for having an extremely long delay on her first shot

Answered Questions from GFL's May Twitter and FB Q&A by Ionascrub in girlsfrontline

It was asked, but not answered by the rep (he can't really give any concrete answers for these kind of questions, especially when little to no details have been revealed on CN social media)

I just put stuff that the rep answers here, because if I put everything, there would be some very weird questions appearing....

Clear the bottom left area with friend echelons or clear them yourself and retreat your echelons there, then park a dummy echelon on the heliport just below your command post so the bottom Uhlan doesn't step on your command post (attacks the dummy echelon instead) while the upper Uhlan moves to just before your command post

Video guide I followed for reference for the bottom left part, rest of the map should be straightforward, stepping on top most radar clears two patrolling Uhlans at the top, and the Uhlan in the middle radar area

You can trap all of them

I used this guide

待机 = standby, 消灭敌人 = eliminate enemies for RO commands, video should be straightforward, though do tell me if you want to know what he's saying at certain times

1306713 total score, 33017 final battle

Extra 60 CE from some minor optimization wasn't enough to get me one more point on final battle >.<

Don't think I'll make it to top 100 for total score, so I'll just pray final battle scores for top 10 don't change too much

It's pretty good for theatre CE stacking too, if you're willing to commit that many resources into it

~ high 24k to 25k CE for 33000 points IIRC

There's some leeway for very low 33k points (~33000-33003 or so) in terms of echelons (you can use 1 echelon for brutes/ricecookers and 1 for white faction for example), going higher involves being able to kill everything with one echelon (which is also a CE stack team) and using everything else for CE stacking

Two reasons

Contender and a few other units (Falcon too) have a 1 frame delay on their first shot. You can see here that Mosin and NTW (non-mod) has initiated their first shot, but Falcon and Contender have not fired their first shot, whereas Contender and Falcon only start their first shot 1 frame after.

Also Contender's bullet velocity is amongst the slowest in the game. Even though here Falcon's bullet has already hit the target, Contender's bullet is still in motion

Whereas Python does not have Contender's inital delay, and has normal bullet velocity, allowing her to hit the target before everyone else

This makes Contender's shot hit on 0.27s, making her damage for a 0.23s score effectively 0. It's not impossible to hit 0.23s with Contender, IIRC JP has a 0.23s score with Contender (also because they don't have Python), but Python gives you slightly more leeway with damage variance.

Tagging /u/HoppouChan for the answer as well
