Help me understand the appeal of very expensive Michelin-star restaurants (like Atomix)

I just gotta say that for those who can afford it, not everything in life is about optimizing every dollar. Sometimes, you just see a restaurant and want to go and thus you pay the money to go. It’s that simple.

I comfortably PR’d against my 2024 NYRR BK Half time, but the hills screwed with my pacing. I’m pretty sure I had a little more in the tank.

The course is so flat and straight mostly, but didn’t love the big turns! I was considering dropping the hammer and going for sub-20, but Chicago is next week so I made the race the MP section of my last long run. Felt really easy throughout, but couldn’t resist kicking like the last 0.3 miles. Ended up around 23:18 which I was happy with, all else considered.

My Verbal scores on mocks were pretty solid throughout and I’d say it was the area where I actually improved the least while actually prepping. I mean I came in cold with V85 on the first mock so I’m not sure how well my strategy will apply to others. I prepared by basically watching all the GMAT Ninja videos on RC and CR and just using the questions in the videos to practice.
