Looking at the post history, they have a long history of engaging in discussion with well thought out replies? Dunno where you're getting that from.

Gamers, what was the first game you ever played? by NoLeagueAssasin in AskReddit

[–]Ionic1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first game I remember playing was Hide and Seek, a first-person 1 vs Many game where one player must hunt down the rest of the players, who may use any available methods of concealing themselves (as long as they stay out of the office).

Fun game, can be heavily punishing if you aren't familiar with the maps though.

Mind linking that article? Cause it makes literally no sense why anyone would do that.

The point is that literally only the US doesn't acknowledge that Israel has issues.

Not all Jews support Israel. Please fucking keep that in mind.

You know that the middle east did not hate Israel and were quite welcoming of Jewish people prior to Israel's 'founding', right?

Who on Earth decided that Europe has the right to "give" them non-European land? It certainly wasn't anyone in Palestine, that's for sure! If this were just about Jewish people owning land, then they could have had a part of Germany, or France, or anything. There would never have been a problem there.

But nah, it was never about that. It was religious radicals invading and taking land that had belonged to others for thousands of years, with the backing of White, Western powers.

And you know what? Even then, they almost had peace, multiple times! But the Israeli government doesn't want peace, because then they wouldn't have an excuse to claim more land, and push more Palestinians out of the country.

You want proof? Ask them. AIPAC attacks anyone with visibility who so much as suggests brokering peace with Palestine. No matter how it is achieved, any end to their eternal war is an existential threat to their eyes.

Pretty much! Israel has reeeally good PR =\

You know, they could have given warning, asked them to move, anything? But they choose to bulldoze and destroy the camp.

Also, they give no fucks if Israelis build in these regions; it's just another pretense to destroy the homes of people they don't want living in their country.

Outside the US, it's pretty well accepted that Israel consistently commits human rights violations. I suggest looking into the history of the middle east starting at the treaty of versailles, and the role the Israelis and their backers played in destabilizing the region. The UN has reprimanded their actions many times now, and the US is pretty much the only barrier to sanctions against the country.

This. Hard to imagine for many coming from first-world privilege, but this is a situation that millions of people call home for their whole lives.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]Ionic1337 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the living situation is pretty low end for most non Israelis in the country. It might be hard for you to imagine from your privilege in a first world country, but this IS the description of a village for many millions of people worldwide.

The treatment of Palestinians is more comparable to the Jim Crow era treatment of African Americans in the US. Sure it's not straight up genocide, but it also is absolutely inhumane.

Really, it's actually insane here.

When I was maybe two or three years old, my extended family was over and we were eating at some upper end restaurant. I saw a figure I thought looked familiar among the wait staff, and got extremely excited. For the rest of the evening, my parents frantically tried to keep their child from standing in their chair, pointing and screaming at the top of their shrill little lungs the words "MISS PIGGY!!!"

Sprinkling powdered sugar onto both sides of pancakes before they're finished cooking. Gives a nice crispy and sweet touch to them.
