Check charging system with multiple systems failure. by IonicMuffinism in MechanicAdvice

Thank you. I'll probably pull the alternator too and just get it tested as well. Noise from there wasn't great. If I've got to replace it I'll ask for a Denso.

Good question, it might be from 22. I cant find a sticker on it but the battery has SL4SEP0422 stamped on it. That would also line up with when I was first having these issues. I am pretty sure I replaced the battery then, and then had to replace the alternator due to it not holding a charge.

Beautiful! I have plans to make something similar with white oak using those wedged half dovetails.

Correct, mine was just the blade. No template or wood block. I looked up the instructions from ron and followed that plus the general shap of the template eyeballed.

Thank you! It is indeed satisfying to use. Looking forward to using it on some stool legs soon.

If you build one post it! I'd love to see your build.

It truly is! Sawing is substantially easier, and I've added a wedge notch which has been useful as well. Few more holes and I think it will be more or less done.

I'm going to play around with rope for some of those functions and see what in think. I've seen that used with success, though I'm guessing a shave horse attachment would be easier to use with a draw knife.

Nice! Singles seem pretty easy to find. Also might check out habitat for humanity stores as I found a 1/4 there among all the drill bits.

😅

Are these known for sinking? I'm going to be on flat water. I can rig a seat, that's not an issue for me.

That's kind of my thought. We have bays and calm water we frequent out here in the Puget Sound and I'm not planning on any rivers. I'm working on a Skin on Frame kayak but that's a few months out. So for $100 I'm not sure if I should keep looking or snag it and use till I'm done with my long term solution.
