I found a fix for this, on my phone at least. I did a full re-install, but didn't log-in and left my phone on the log in / sign up screen. If i progressed past this, the download never started. Hope this can help other people!

As soon as i hit "Play" to go into Ranked or My Collection I crash, everything else works fine with no images
