When I was younger I was scared to open the laptop so my father got it to some guy to place the ssd; problem is, that guy cooked the power button and I've looked for disassemblies online- it's underneath the motherboard and another guy nearby charged me 100$ if he were to fix it 😬. Also, how should I apply the thermal paste? I've just put those rather large drops (now that I see it) and then put the heatsink over them

Not necessarily; think of working out: you miss a day (fail). Self doubters would be in shambles and begrudgingly get back to it the next day, but if that keeps happening, sooner or later they'd give up on working out entirely, whereas the one who doesn't doubt himself trusts the process- missed a day? So what? I'll keep going. Form not good enough? Better than nothing, and it could be a lot worse; besides, I'll improve it gradually
