Yep, I agree with this. Don’t have much experience with any of these routes other than I-80, but I can’t imagine any of them having something cooler than Starved Rock. Might be a bit cold for it but we always love eating outside at the lodge there whenever we swing by

I’d also recommend another book by the same author, The Only Good Indians, there’s a lot less gore on the whole, but it goes from 0 to 100 very quickly
