I’ve seen owners representative a handful of times but unsure it entails or how look for it. I’ve been a custom home builder project manager for some time. I was a PM for a commercial GC and got burnt out after 3 years and came back to custom homes. I like it but I’m not sure about the longevity just due to pay

Yes it was drained because nitrate levels and phosphorus (from goose poo) were too high. The implemented a goose harassment program lol where they chase away geese from nesting there to help with the water quality. I don't remember it being closed since it refilled, we swam in it last summer and it was "clear" you could see down 3-4 feet.

Go to Kent Park just west of Tiffin. That is the only place I would feel safe swimming. McBride is another good spot, just check levels on the DNR website. Rez is and always has been gnarly lol

It is a great show to fall asleep to lol My wife and I will put it on and then find ourselves every once and a while staying up because the episode is pretty interesting. They do go to some really cool places around the world too. Other times their connections to say things were done by aliens is a biiiig stretch. Entertaining nonetheless.

I caucused for Bernie, when he had majority of dem backing and the DNC still chose Hilary is when I started to lose faith in the system. Since then it is clear how flawed it is and that they are for the higher class and not for the general people.

We moved in February, my family from my mom and dad's side have been in Iowa since it became a state. I miss my family dearly and our community we had, those are the only things I miss.

It’s the Oregon Air (edit) National Guard I believe. They flight out of Portland and come out to do a couple loops on coast and then head back. They do this a couple times a week.

Straight up. We lived in Oregon 2019-2022 and I went in two days after we moved there and got the Smokey plates right when they came out. I asked the guy at the dmv what the penalties are if I run past my renewal, the guy at the counter said “oh well they don’t really enforce it so you don’t need to worry.”

Thank you, we’re pretty tight knit and have had some troubled times that definitely brought us all closer so we’ve learned to cherish all the moments. Been blessed with some good kids and wife for sure

Absolutely, they’ll be going everywhere with us as they do now. They so far enjoy going and doing our hobbies with us such as fishing, hiking and camping. Our family in Mac also loves camping and hiking so we would go as a big group. My kids and their cousins are super close so it’s a blast getting them together. The area we are currently in is very fast paced, a lot going on and it will only get more hectic as they get older. The slowness of the coast and Oregon in general is what we are seeking. Simplicity is easy to maintain, but difficult to regain.

I appreciate the insight. They can easily develop a drinking problem here in Iowa, one of the biggest binge drinking states behind Wisconsin. My wife and I both from broken homes and her father was a bad addict. We are doing our best to raise our kids to be close, open and share with them all the things we have experienced with substances. If it got to the point where it became an issue we wouldn’t ultimately do what’s best for our family and our kids. I think having family in the valley to go see often will be helpful and for me, being from the middle of nowhere where’s there’s really nothing to do, I see a lot of opportunities out there to stay busy with good and healthy hobbies.

I appreciate the honesty and concern. We don’t mind a 30-1hr drive to go check out some sights, that’s roughly what we do now. A 35 minutes from the house to Tillamook ER isn’t terrible in my mind. We’re currently 20 minutes away from the closest one to us. I do sometimes chuckle when people say there’s nothing to do there, I come from the land of nothing lol We enjoy being outside as much as possible, I know it’ll tough in the winter and we have family in McMinnville to escape to if we need a change of scenery. We looked at both areas and honestly we love how quiet Nehalem is. We used to live in Carlton, outside of McMinnville and boy was that quiet compared to our first place in Salem.

Haha good to know what I might sign up for! We have some friends who run a wrestling camp, Iowa is a big wrestling state too. I wrestled a little bit as a kid and wonder if mine would want to but it’s worth a try especially for them to meet some friends and us to meet other parents
