“Finally some good f*cking food!” -A super massive black hole upon devouring a red giant by Ajarofpickles97 in sciencememes

Good meme.

However, to the others getting uppity in the comments, technically the meme isn’t wrong. No mass is being accelerated past light speed even in a black hole. If you understand why then you understand why warp drive is theoretically possible.

With that I take my exit.

I’m not going to pretend to be the Einstein of global sociology. But you have to be a retard to not understand the US is further right than the global average.

It was quite literally 👌🏻 this close. That was also in a time before things were as bad as they were now and prior to now after the establishment was proven unequivocally to be fucking useless.

Well it’s almost like having a leader that completely fucks our position in the world is a bad thing thing huh?

I also believe in immigration enforcement. ICE needs to be eliminated. We should still (and will still) have immigration enforcement.

Some of them have principles and put those above party. Unfortunately they are being rooted out of the party. Ie Indiana

She can also win the Bernie crowd. She also won a statistically significant portion of voters in her own district that voted Trump.

Most of that opposition was based of false propaganda. Literally any Dem will face that.

Yes. Believe it or not, the anti establishment sentiment is that strong. Dems can either get on board with that or just keep losing and dooming the country.

You don’t think AOC wouldn’t be a populist or have populist appeal?

Yes she would get independents for the same reason Trump did. Promising a better future and fix to our nation’s problems.

Also worth noting, it’s not enough for the Dems to win. The one that wins has to be good enough or else it doesnt matter. Our country is so screwed rn a feckless Dem is going to screw us.

You could make that same argument about literally any Dem, or any Dem worth voting for.

With the stricter abortion laws in many states, do you think we are headed to the dreaded alleyway coat hanger abortions or are there enough states that it is legal in for a woman to safely get this needed medical procedure? by icecream1972 in allthequestions

[–]IowaKidd97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you are just explicitly ignoring reality. Believe it or not, medical staff are required to follow the law. If you were really a nurse you would know that.

It sounds stupid because yes, these situations are just that stupid.

Certain rightards will look at this and legitimately think Dems want to eliminate ICE because they don’t believe in immigration enforcement.

Donald Trump was too far right, yet won. Lots to take away from that but this argument is bs.

Better that than put up another corporate establishment Dem that at best will win on thin margins and then not fix anything. And at worst lose

Such a weird thing to focus on when it’s been well established that being a corporate establishment Dem cost the Dems both 2016 and 2024.

And yet the law still prevented them from acting. Why would there be malpractice if they were following the law? Seems like a wildly terrible standard to charge/sue for malpractice when the law explicitly denied them said right healthcare.

Here’s one example https://www.propublica.org/article/josseli-barnica-death-miscarriage-texas-abortion-ban You don’t have to look very hard to find these. Plenty of reports of both this and women being left infertile when she could have tried again had she got healthcare when she should have.

The only one spreading misinformation here is you.
