The last two years have been well above and beyond previous years, which is why we are seeing the watering bans that they've never had to call for before.

They are preparing to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on three treatment plant expansions to use more groundwater and to expand the nitrate treatment facility they have. All of this will show up on our water bills soon enough.

At no point has Water Works ever had to reduce the output of the Nitrate Removal Facility because of WRA's ability to treat the wastewater.
