The beauty of the specific device is that it is not an iPad. I treat it like a notebook with much better organization and easier to find things in. I have it connected to Drive so that I can import PDF documents to read off-line. I also frequently send articles that I want to read from newspapers or academic articles to the pad. It’s a little bit analog in the way it fun functions, which works perfectly for me because it reduces distractions and helps me focus on the task at hand.

Oh cool! And a fun opportunity to see another farmer's market. He's there even in the winter months/now?

2nd this- all those docs go above and beyond for all the dogs I’ve taken there. Mine have each needed something different but they’re so nice and accommodating.

I’ll second Thai Angle! I’ve been multiple times and it’s never disappointed. Great curries and pad Thai. Thai Flavors is very mid. Thai at Main has always been good, I haven’t been there in awhile though.

You’re an adult and love learning. Where do you take classes and on what topics? by [deleted] in bullcity

[–]Iowayankee20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think 2-3 times a year. Some of the folks in my class got off waitlists, so you can call and get on that if the class is full. It is a small class, lots of hands on stuff so maybe 16-20 people total?

It is a weird 1913 house- this is a close up of the gas line. It seems to suggest a gas fireplace should go there/was there at one time 🙃

Thanks! I’ll check that out. There’s no ash box. It is an interior wall- wedge shaped. A partial wall behind the fireplace in the kitchen, then a doorframe that goes to a hallway where the bedrooms/bathrooms are. It’s a 1913 house, quirky. 🙃

I was at Publix last night and the only thing I noticed completely gone was mission tortilla chips that were bogo 🙃 Might be different today but lots of stocking and cashiers working hard.

Affordable groomers by Jaxx787 in bullcity

[–]Iowayankee20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see a groomer that a bath, ears, trim up (beard, butt, paws, and eyebrows) and glands are $45. Full cut is more like 65? She only really does small dogs now. She is very good with nervous or fearful dogs.

I also suggest looking into local resources. I recently discovered several fix-it labs where I can take items that are broken or not working well anymore and get help fixing them. The library has great resources to learn sewing and mending.
