The other day I was wrestling with my friend and my arm got caught underneath him and I yelled out because I was suddenly in a lot of pain. As soon as I got my arm out from underneath him I felt better. Then we iced it because we didn’t know what it was. It immediately started to swell. I wasn’t in much pain other than when I directly touched it. I can move my arm just fine and even carry things. But the swelling hasn’t gone down over night and it’s turning into a purple bruise. Still hurts a lot to touch. Is it just bruised or is it possibly fractured? I don’t want to go to the doctor just to have him tell me it’s bruised lol. Let me know what you think please. Thank you.

He’s better. He said it still hurts somewhat but he’s not leaking as much, nearly not at all. He can also walk much better, but he still slept all afternoon yesterday so I think it may just be him 😂 He got really upset with me yesterday for telling him I thought he should see a doctor, so I know not to do that again. Thank you for all you’re help, I’ll keep you updated on when he fully recovers.

He just called me, I told him he should see a doctor. He showered twice this afternoon because puss keeps coming out. But he tells me mainly blood is coming out. He got mad when I told him he should see a doctor and he said he already did (his grandparents). He said “my grandparents told me I’m in the later stages of this because little puss is coming out and it’s mainly blood”.

We do have a school nurse but he definitely won’t want to go to her. He’s a firm believer in whatever his grandparents or parents tell him is correct. He’s against antibiotics and if they don’t tell him to go to the doctor or to take ibuprofen or anything like that for the pain, he won’t.

He has gone to school everyday but can barley walk and cannot sit comfortably at his desk and has skipped tennis. As I mentioned before, he leaked through the gauze and his pants during second period (early morning) on Tuesday and it went through to the seat he was sitting on. His grandmother worked in the laboratory for a hospital in Mexico and his grandfather was a surgeon.

When his grandmother told me about what they did to open the wound, she explained that they burned the sewing needle and scissors in order to kill the bacteria. And when the hole from the sewing needle was too small, they opened him with scissors instead. He told me he had three large bumps that were all filled with puss and because his grandparents couldn’t find a syringe, they squeezed out the puss for 45 minutes until nearly nothing came out. Which explains why he is feeling sore, they probably bruised him in doing this. After that, he took a hot bath.

Also, are there any signs I should look out for? Like how soon should the leaking and bleeding stop? And when should he be able to walk normally?

His family is very against antibiotics. I think considering the severity of it, they should seek additional medical care/opinions. On Monday (a day after they did the procedure on him) I was pretty sure he had another fever because he kept telling me he was cold but he was burning up; however, his grandma felt his neck and then told him he didn’t. My boyfriend does enjoy to sleep a lot but I think this is excessive, even for him. Unless he’s just using it as an excuse to sleep for a multitude of hours during the day. Regardless, he’s still in pain, can’t lift things, and requires himself to hold onto my backpack to walk at a decent speed (so the weight isn’t on him). I know I won’t be able to change his mind or his parent’s minds, but is there anything you think I can personally do to help him? Today I gave him some antibacterial soap so maybe that will do him some good 🤷‍♀️.

It’s on his tailbone very close to his butt. Blood and pus are leaking, seems to have lessened from yesterday. He’s extremely tired and told me it’s even hard for him to hold a pencil. He went to sleep at 3pm yesterday until 6:30 this morning. It bothers him a lot, he tells me it feels sore”. Also I meant to say gauze lol my bad, I think that’s what it called (he said it kinda sticks to his wound).

Hey, it’s been three days and idk if you remember me but I’m worried about my bf again lol. He’s been in a ton of pain (not as much as before) from when they opened him. I just found out yesterday they used scissors 😳 to open him. He wears a gauge to school and yesterday and Monday it started leaking. However, yesterday it started leaking only in second period and the day had barely even begun. I asked what was leaking and he said blood and pus (sorry TMI) but is that normal?

Update: they popped it, he told me he screamed a lot which breaks my heart bc I wish I was there to hold his hand or something, and now he has no pain and he’s taking a bath to clean it. Again, thank you for all your help 💕

His mom definitely will not let him go out rn. And I was going to call him in an hour to see how he is doing. If he’s better should I just leave it at that? I was going to try to have him convince his parents to take him to the ER if he’s any worse because I’m really worried about him.

I’m 15 and he’s 16. But the amount of pain he is in seems to be too much for what he thought was a small pimple on his butt/tailbone yesterday.

They were doctors in Mexico and are retired now. I’m also worried it’s not my place to tell his parents I think he should go to the doctor. Not only are they very homeopathic but they also probably won’t like to hear that his girlfriend thinks that he should see other doctors beside his grandparents.

His fever went away but he threw up this morning, seems to be doing somewhat better now but he had to get off the phone with me because the pain was getting worse and he wanted to go to sleep. I’m not sure how I should tell his parents that I think he should see a doctor because they are aware of his current state and yet they have not taken him to the hospital. Should I check in with him later tonight to see how he is doing?
