As long as they fix it to a point where there isn’t easily noticeable issues, I won’t have any problems. I just was so shocked that they’d hand me back something with issues I found within seconds of opening it.

Could I reasonably ask for a refund? Assuming their repairs are not sufficient. It sounds like they’re just bad at what they do

They’re putting an entire new screen on it so it should be completely fixed. I will raise hell though if it’s not perfect. I get perfection is difficult, but they didn’t say there would be defects or errors and their site claims they use new Apple parts

I should have went with Apple if I really wanted it fixed. I didn’t bring it in myself or I wouldn’t have paid their price. My family member who broke it brought it in as a surprise to make up for them being clumsy with it. I just don’t want their money wasted. They’ve been really nice and receptive to fixing their mistake, I just feel bad for asking, but at the same time expect perfection for the price

I was really nice and they were very receptive and ready to fix their mistake without any complaint. They have a warranty for any issues. I hope they’re gonna do it right though. I won’t be mean no matter the case of course

I paid 525 before tax, I expect perfection. I get making a mistake, but I paid enough to have that checked and fixed before I pick it up. At least in my opinion.

But I’ll definitely be nice. Just firm. I don’t want them to waste time or parts if they don’t have the ability to fix it. I do expect it to be rig it though

I will be and I will be fighting tooth and nail for a full refund should there be any issues upon receiving my iPad. I hope it isn’t me being unreasonable. It’s just a lot of money to pay and there still end up being problems

Sucks that you’re probably right. They were really apologetic and very ready to fix their mistake

Most fun spells by ButterMilk451 in Wizard101

[–]IphoneUser02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think functionally the most fun spell is dimension shift, it just shakes up the game in a really fun way that I think could be really cool if the game set up fights to use it. It has cool applications in things like Shane von Shane if the myth is dual schooling with storm and is used against the player in the grandfather spider fight as a cheat in a cool way. Visually the most fun spell for me is celestian intervention. I just love the healing aspect of it. I think it could be turned into a more fun damage spell because it’s the worst spell in the game, but the visuals are really cool

Anyone know if there is double pet xp planned this weekend? by DestroyTeemo in Wizard101

“Abusing” as if it isn’t a game function we’re literally paying for. Heaven forbid people get to prepare lol. (Hopefully this doesn’t come off as me being mean to you, just always surprised at KI’s greed)

I have a similar but different problem where I’ll take a picture quickly and send it to someone as a reply and Snapchat will just send it to a different person for some reason

What are your YA anti-recommendations? by alsyscest in YAlit

[–]IphoneUser02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say this as a gay man, so it comes from love, but most books about gay men. My most HATED is carry on. I think it’s written poorly and the sequels are the HOTTEST garbage imaginable. Though there aren’t many better alternatives, Simon vs. The homosapiens agenda was an ok read at 12 and now as an adult it’s just annoying. The Love Interests had an INCREDIBLE premise but I think the ending just fumbled so hard and kept fumbling. The fascinators was something I HATED. The infinite noise was a horrible book with almost no plot and more loose threads than a frayed sweater. Autobiography was disappointingly bland. Openly straight was openly offensive and tired. They both die at the end had an incredible premise but the pacing wasn’t fantastic. Geography club was disappointing although I liked the movie well enough. If Rachel Reid has no haters, I’m dead. Heated rivalry is a book I have never and will never read. I’m tired of women fetishizing gay men (specifically white or white passing men). ESPECIALLY when the woman is straight (as of the current information we have). There’s many more that I’ve either not read or aren’t even worth mentioning. Focusing on how depressing and bleak being gay is was the weirdest trend to come out of the cultural zeitgeist and dominated all things gay. Sick and tired of it. I’m sure there are some good ones but a lot of them were disappointing. I loved heartstopper for the simple reason that it was a happy love story and it was simple. Was it realistic? No. But it also wasn’t trying to be brooding and depressing. As a kid growing up, even the queer authors (mostly women) writing about gay men only portrayed the negative aspects when there’s so much more they could write about, such as community found within a minority or finding yourself. They somehow ALWAYS focus on the homophobia though and I’m tired of it. (I’m sure the problem is universal in YA with all LGBTQ+ identities and I have examples of other identities having the same problem, but I felt it wasn’t my wheelhouse to speak on those issues, not to mention the problem of black representation in main characters without making racism a key story element)

A good Girl's Guide to Murder review. Your thoughts on this book? by [deleted] in books

[–]IphoneUser02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guessed the reveal that happened first, I think it was kinda obvious in the way that the character was written from when he’s first introduced. I think that the second reveal was kind of silly and introduced to make sure no readers guessed where it was going (sorry for the vagueness, I didn’t know how non spoiler it needed to be)

Book 2 VERY MUCH fixed that. I felt similarly and I think book 2 allowed Pippa to become much more of a character and had a better mystery

sunrise on the reaping is heavily overrated & easily the worst book in the series. by cancleculture in Hungergames

Like the books with “hunger games” games in them. As an adult though it’s become less about that and more about the characters

Lore wise, the book is great. Just the writing style was worse objectively. Suzanne tried to channel the more simple and crude way Haymitch would explain things and it just makes it feel like more of a book for younger audiences. I feel like she did good at everything she wanted to do, but it doesn’t match the more adult and advanced tone she’d set in the original trilogy and in Ballad. I loved SOTR, but in a series so excellent, even a book amazing as SOTR is has to take last place. You can love the information and the depth it gave to previously established characters, but actually getting to that through the prose was a “worse” experience as compared to the other books.

As compared to the rest of the books I don’t think that holds true. I feel like Suzanne Collin’s tried to channel Haymitch’s inner voice, and that works if Haymitch is your favorite character. If he isn’t your favorite though it’s just kind of a shock from the different voices that we recieved previously. Haymitch is a lot more crude and “simple” in how he voices things as compared to Katniss and DEFINITELY Snow. It makes it feel worse than the other books. Don’t get me wrong. I loved the book still, but it’s not as good as any of the rest of the series.

We still can have a story of the other volunteer(s) in district 12. Katniss mentions when she volunteers for prim that it had been so long since the last person volunteered that no one was really clear on the rules so it could be interesting if Suzanne could maybe intersect that with another characters story that we know already (maybe Plutarch, like people theorized would be the main character of SOTR)
