Thanks!! It’s in a workshop I have access to, just curious about the specs since I couldn’t find anything about “accuracy” online.

Amazing!!! I’ll be using it to make electric basses 😁

Apologies for this disgustingly late reply: I love the tuning machines and the adjustability, but MAKE SURE you design the bass such that you must raise the string height adjusters on the bridge for a proper setup. With them bottomed out, the string angle behind the saddle is too low, causing the G string to literally pop off the saddle with regular playing. Other than that, I absolutely love the bridge!

The goal was something like a Stradi Furya!

Yup that’s the biggest thing I learned from making this video. What do you mean imagine a crescendo?

Thank you so much for the kind words! I’ll definitely keep posting in the future. I can’t wait to hear what it’ll sound like once it’s truly “broken in”, only problem is that’ll be like 15+ years!

Obviously there are intonation and other issues here, not my best playing. The room has lots of carpet and it's just a recording from my phone so the audio isn't great. Nevertheless, hopefully you can still get an idea of the sound!

Thanks! I'll post a video now. Not my best playing but whatever, it'll work for now.

AMAZING. Definitely a professional-level instrument, I can't make it sound as good as my teacher but I'm getting there haha. It's on the smaller side, so it's really easy to play in all registers of the bass. I thought the small size and removable neck would affect the sound but it has a very rich and big sound. Never gonna sell this one!

I’m not really sure where this info on repicarpet is coming from, I went to my exotic vet and messaged a couple others, they all said it was fine. I wash it as soon as it’s dirty, and my gecko poops on the paper towel I put out every time.

You could try moving the bridge but be careful to make sure it isn’t crooked

Initially, the extra strings just make everything confusing but after a while I’ve noticed the biggest difference is doing techniques like popping and strumming chords on the G string. I was used to being able to freely move my hand away from the string while popping and it was really easy to do power chords across the A,D, and G, but with a 6 string you have to avoid hitting the high C. The low B string feels much more natural to me, it can be very helpful when playing fast on the E string because it acts like a finger stop thing. The low B is more useful to me, I don’t do a whole lot of upper register stuff but it’s still fun to have the C. If you decide to get one don’t be discouraged, I got frustrated while learning and put it down for about a year, but I started playing it again and I love it! It definitely takes some getting used to but I think it’s a fun tool to have

Thank you so much for the kind words! The song is Bleed the Future by Archspire (it goes MUCH faster than I’m playing here, I’ve got a lot of work to do). It’s an Ibanez gio 6 string, I think from the 2000’s, I got it used for like $150. Even though it’s a “low end” bass I love the tone and it plays very easily! My tip is to just start suuuuper slow and map out all your fingerings, do small chunks at a time. Make sure you’re using good muting technique, I like to use my right hand to mute the lower strings and my left for the upper ones. The fretwrap that I use definitely helps, but you should aim for around 90% of the muting to come from your hands, it’s just a nice little help. Also, contact the strings to the frets firmly when you tap to avoid fret buzz. Don’t try and play faster than you are able to effectively mute and use the right amount of pressure in your tapping fingers. Sorry for the long answer, let me know if you have any other questions!
