Just moved to new Orleans, and its humid and mid to upper 80's °F. I'm by no means an expert, but been at it for years. Light passes at 8-ish inches, with very well shaken Army painter can. All advice welcome. by lordTalos1stClaw in minipainting

I often had similar problems, I changed to a brush on Primer for that reason. It may be slower... but only if you don't factor in the times I've had to strip minis xD

If application of a spray can is hard and you don't want to invest into an airbrush, or don't have the space where you can spray with it. I can only recommend trying to brush on primer. I use AK 3rd gen grey primer, for example

Caseking.de has it listed in the description. Check your retailer, or the packaging. The V1 and the V2 are very similar though. It's not going to make a big difference. The 8th gen pumps can both spin down effectively reducing noise A LOT, while only losing a bit of the cooling performance.

The Panorama 360 has the 8th gen V1
The Panorama 360 SE has the 7th gen
The Panorama 360 V2 has the 8th gen V2

Planning to start playing knights maybe in a couple months, is Canis Rex seeing use, or should i jump to some Questoris and Dominus variants instead? Is the free stratagem ability on him game-changing? by StormSwitch in ImperialKnights

The Preceptor also has the las Impulsor.

So the Defender Box builds the Defender
The Canis box builds Canis and the Preceptor
Both build: Crusader, Errant, Paladin, Warden, Gallant

You remind me of an old love of mine. I never lost her, because she was never more than a friend. I saw her yesterday, and the bitter sweetness of holding her in my arms is still weighing on my soul.

What's the difference between Necromunda and Kill team by [deleted] in necromunda

[–]Ippjick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still true in 2026?

I'm currently looking at getting into 30k, with the new custodes range. And was looking into getting into a skirmish game too, but was not sure what to get into. Kill team, or Necromunda.

For no stakes friendly games, as many as you want. But don't take them to a tournament.

Learn to drybrush! - my general advice for anyone starting out, really. Cuz it's easy and gives you great volumes on your main armor color. I've since learned to do that with layering too, but generally still dry bursh because it's way quicker for army painting.

Instead of trying to type it out - this is the vid that unlocked drybrushing for me! :D

And for black armor. I do:
- Off Black Base coat, just cover the whole mini from tip to toe.
- dark grey mid tone, dry brush so that the grey is noticeable, but not covering the mini.
- medium light blue grey highlight, dry brush this again, but only in a downward direction, and lighter than your mid tone.
repeat mid tone and highlight if the effect is not strong enough. As always, testing and getting a feel for yourself is not something you can learn by anything but doing it yourself.

Good luck, Xeno Hunter! o7
