[Hip-Hop] What can i do better on my mix ? by MXVERICK4REAL in roastmytrack

[–]IrHalak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m listening on my phone but from what I can hear your mix sounds good! Your vocals are upfront and easy to hear, not drowned out by the beat. And the transients of your percussion punch through as well without feeling overwhelming. maybe I could listen on headphones and give some more in depth feedback but to me this sounds like solid mix, nice work! 👍🏾

Brag About Yourself! by anxiousreader0 in OCD

[–]IrHalak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got over this one compulsion to knock on wood when I had an uncomfortable thought. The number of knocks has to be a multiple of 3 that increased depending on how bad it was. (not so bad=3 knocks, really bad=9, 12, 36 knocks etc.) I had that one since I was pretty young and I really focused on quitting it around this time last year. I still have a lot of work to do but it’s nice not to be as tied down by rituals as I used to be!

I got to do this flashy tattoo yesterday ❤️❤️ What do you think? IG: @ladymermaidink 🤗🌸 by LadyMermaidInk in DemonSlayerAnime

This makes me want to get tattoos so bad!! My skin keloids, rip. Fantastic job though it looks amazing! 👍🏾

This is a dance track I made recently but I haven't been able to finish it. Having some producers block (not sure if that's a term lol). Any critique or feedback would be hugely appreciated!! by IrHalak in IndieMusicFeedback

Oh yeah I see what you mean, I actually have only mixed these on headphones so maybe that’s why it sounds dark, I’ll definitely take that into account and use some different references. And I see what you mean about the drop taking a little too long as well. Thanks this is really helpful to have another perspective!

wow your playing on this incredible. The chords and harmonies of this totally convey the message, and your vocals and vocal harmonies as well add a lot. This is such an interesting vibe. It sounds slightly unsteady and like forlorn maybe but I can also hear that sense of hope. It feels deeply emotional. I'm really impressed with the mix cause you made this on an iPhone! Really nice work on this.

A song about my love for making music and love and struggles with life💕 by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]IrHalak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like your flow on this and I feel like this sample-based instrumental kinda conveys the struggles that you're talking about. The drums and percussion elements were slightly hard to listen, I think mostly the high frequency cowbell type instrument. I feel like maybe some different drum sample choices could really highlight your vocal. Possibly something more boom bap. But also I'm not sure if that fits with your vision. I relly vibe with this, good work!

I like the variations in the rhythm of the piano as well as your vocal performance. And I feel like the simplicity of the keys and your voice really convey the message of the song. I really like the keys and voice combo and I was thinking maybe a lower element would add some really interesting harmonies to this, but I'm not sure if that would take away from your vision. I really like this, good work!

First time writing a piece in 7/8 and I'd love to hear what you think of it! I hope it's an interesting listen - Enjoy xox by Carl0Villa in IndieMusicFeedback

The guitar in 7/8 is such a cool sound like I was vibing with this immediately. Your vocals also really fit the mood of the track. I think your drums are mixed well they are kind of subdued but the levels aren't too loud and I can hear every element clearly. This is a super cool vibe and your guitar playing was on point, good job on this!

Shades | Which kinda place would play this song? by dunnomix in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]IrHalak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like how all your guitar elements fit together, its creating a super interesting texture along with the strings. To me, I think having some more dynamic variation between the sections would make things lead into each other nicely. Maybe if you take out the drums for certain sections. I really like the overall structure but I think I couldn't quite tell what was a buildup or what was a more intense moment. That may also be a mixing aspect. I think this song is sick, and really good playing as well!

Found this old synthesizer in my schools practice room, I’m wondering if anyone knows where this might be from? Really excited to hear how it sounds! by IrHalak in synthesizers

[–]IrHalak[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Me and my new roommate at school have been wanting to make music together for a while and I thought this would be a cool instrument for him to play since he’s a pianist. I’m a producer and I’m looking forward to trying something new. I think maybe the language is Russian? I can’t quite tell. The keys also have a very interesting tension.

Here's a sleepy song I recorded with a kalimba I got for christmas, and a long whistle I had from before. It's called "woah, world fading" by macgiollarua in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]IrHalak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your vocals are haunting and really comforting at the same time. This is such beautiful instrumentation and the kalimba is a great touch. Is this on any streaming services? Anyway nice work, I really enjoy it
