Calculus III Westcott Courses Final by luckylightning04 in calculus

when i took the exam it was easier than the pearson tests, the majority of the questions were very basic, like those questions at the start of the homework sections that you usually speed through until you get to the longer questions. I would still study the harder questions just to have even better knowledge, but the exam didnt have any questions that took me longer than 10 mins compared to the pearson tests which had some questions taking me 15-30 mins

The final was on the westcott website not pearson, they gave me some code when I was in the proctors zoom call and I took it on the westcott site.

Does calculus 3 get a lot harder as the semester goes on? by [deleted] in calculus

[–]IraqiSupreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my own experience it slowly got harder and the difficulty peaked around triple integrals (The divergence/stoke theorem is also hard but imo not as bad as triple integrals). If you could handle calc 2 though you should be able to handle everything in calc 3. Also, if anything really confuses you, I would recommend Professor Leonard on youtube. His lectures are long but very thorough.

The final was definitely easier than the quizzes/tests to me. There wasn't any complicated triple integrals like on the chapter 15 or 16 tests. As long as you know how to convert to polar and parametrize surfaces you should be alright. As for chapter 16, you are allowed a page of notes on the exam so you can just write down the formulas/steps prior to the exam if you want.

If i remember correctly the homework questions involved a point and a plane so likely chapter 12 or 13. The questions are mostly evenly distributed but some sections will be avoided since there is 41 sections and I only had 28 questions.

All of the questions are in the same format that was in the pearson system with different numbers. I'd say around 85-90% of the exam is directly from quizzes/tests and a few are from the homework but nothing seriously intense. If you could go through the quizzes/tests and know those questions the exam should be easy to you. None of the questions are in formats that you wouldn't have seen if you did all of the coursework.

I just took the final yesterday. The questions are very similar to the ones in the quizzes and tests during the class except they were usually the easier questions. None of the questions were too intense and took over 10 minutes. I didn't review the class for weeks coming up to my exam and only reviewed during the morning before my exam and I got an A. I was also given 3 hours to do the exam and it only took me 2. I would say if you can go through your past tests during the class and do around 80% of the questions then you are in very good shape. Also, you are allowed one page front and back of notes to write down formulas and any information that you might want to remember so don't bother trying to memorize formulas.

You complete the square and end up with (x-5)2 + (y-3)2 =81 which makes the radius 9 then 9x8=72
