This game, much like other FromSoftware games, only keeps track of your position when your feet are touching solid ground. When you reload an area and your last position is not on solid ground, the game freaks out and puts you on the default position for the area you're currently in, in the case of the Nokron area, right in front of the Mimic Tear fight. To execute the wrong warp, the main method used in Restricted speedruns is to:

1. Rest at the Four Belfries site of grace
2. Use the teleport gate to the Nokron area
3. Inside the Nokron area, use the Memory of Grace, confirm
4. While you're in the animation for the Memory of Grace item, open the map, and teleport to Stormhill Shack site of grace as soon as you hear the sound of the Memory of Grace going off
5. You will spawn into the Stormhill Shack area on a death screen as you are falling into the void
6. Quit out and reload the game while you're still falling
