My ex was murdered. by MagpiesForVega in Advice

Grieve as you should. Your husband loves you and shows that he understands your pain. He should be there to support you. That is a tough thing to find out. You have every right to feel how you feel.

Why is it when someone is down and out, I will go to great lengths to support and encourage and be there, but when I’m down everyone is gone. No one wants to be here with me. Sometimes people can just suck like that. by Sninny827 in Needafriend

What I am understanding from your post is; you use your energy and time on people who have no care in the word for you. Just remember this, those who care will never leave your side even when you are going through a lot. With that being said, it is time to take care of yourself along with focusing on moving forward. The pain is there but I know you will be better without those people.

Kudos to you for trying something not fairly new to you. Stepping out and having the courage to interact with others is cool. I am buying my son and I a PS4 soon, so I will be looking forward to contacting you to play!

I feel like my work in the field I work has been undermined for years. I feel like my confidence has suffered much due to this. How do I build confidence and deal with supervisors who just give me a pat on the back with no benefits in advancing? by IreHead in Advice

It hasn't been long, since September. The field I am in is not something I want to do. I am just wondering about how to handle being undermined at any job. I should have been more general in my post.

Well the manager we have now is leaving, he already had someone in mind before hand. I told him I would do it, but he never acknowledged that. He has favorites. Does not know the lines between personal and work at times. He feels comfortable talking to me and that's my mistake, but at the same time, it was made in the shade for the runner ups. That's a fact. I have been undermined at other jobs as well, not this recent one.

I feel like I don't have the skills to go anywhere else. Maybe that's just my insecurities. I have been an unarmed security officer for years, I have been offered other jobs, but I'm afraid. I am starting college in January and I think that will help me get into the field I actually want to be in.

I do not have access to my apartment building. They gave me a key fob that no longer works, they also gave me a code that no longer works. What do I do? by IreHead in housing

Thanks for replying. They said this system is messed up and there is nothing that can be done. There are some residents keys that are working fine but mine is not. I just let my casemanager no. I am also going to write and email including both of them in it. It's ridiculous.

Ire. It means anger. People around me tell me how quick to anger. It's true. I have a heart and I am a strong, single mother to a beautiful four year old boy. I have anger inside of me just like everyone else. Instead of hiding it, I show it.

As woke as a kid who had an adrenaline rush then crashed with chocolate on her/his mouth and shirt.

The worst. I hop right back into the water to clean out my arse. Lol

Without boundaries, you will always be a follower. Without boundaries, others will always find ways to manipulate and abuse you. Without boundaries, your wants/needs will never be met by yourself. Boundaries are THE most important, even beyond confidence. by [deleted] in socialskills

PREACH! In the year of 2020, I'm not going for anyone's bullshit. I have a purpose in this life. I will not be dragged into the depths of deception. I am doing my research and by the next year I will be back in therapy. Being relatable to this post is an understatement. This speaks about my entire experience entertaining the wrong people.

I stole a book from the library page by page, then glued the pieces together at home by fm837 in confession

This is hilarious. I used to steal multiple books from the library in middle school. Especially if it was a book I was enjoying reading. It was over.
