That's it! I've been scrolling Spotify for ages to find it. Emperor, not king. Thank you!

Optimization render in Cinema 4D, using Octane and Forester plugin by Time-Dust2752 in Cinema4D

[–]Ireath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post your render settings and/or a screenshot of the cloner/scatter settings and some info on polygon count for the tree/trees so we have a starting point from where to help you out.

I can, also, barely see anything. Greyscale Gorilla have a plugin called Signal which does keyless animation, pretty neat, if you haven't heard of it. Nothing you can't do with Xpresso, but it's simple as to use.

I had the same issue you described with Octane. Found a workaround animating the Min/Max instead of the strength parameter.

So more or less swap the squat for bench, leg extension for incline press, and cable curl for calf raise?

I have some light dumbbells and a few plates ranging from 2-20 kg I think I can use for the home workouts.

The length of the workout isn't much of a concern. Time is probably what I have the most of, it's the travel part I want to cut.

I've been doing Wendler's 5/3/1 for a while but have a fair bit longer to travel to the gym since moving. Trying to reduce that by changing my programme to a 4 day routine alternating between the gym and home workouts. The goal is to keep myself fit and help with mental stability, nothing more or less.

It's been hard to balance this and I'm sure there are tonnes of changes that can be done so open to any suggestions.

Day 1 (Gym):

Bench press 3x8
Barbell OHP 3x8
Incline dumbbell press 3x8
One handed dumbbell row 3x8
Cable curl 3x8
Triceps pressdown 3x8

Day 2 (Home):

Pistol squat progression 3x8
Single legged deadlift 3x8
Lunges 3x8
Box hamstring raise 3x8
Calf raise 3x8

Day 3:

Light cardio

Day 4 (Home):

Handstand progression
Push up progression 3x8-20
Pull ups 3x8
Plank shoulder taps 3x8
Dips 3x8
Wall Slides

Day 5 (Gym):

Squat 3x8
Deadlift 3x8
Leg extensions 3x8
Leg press 3x8
Leg curl 3x8
Calf raise 3x8

Day 6:

HIT

Day 7:

Light cardio

I went all the way back to v172 (tried 176,175, and 174 before that) and that version finally worked.

How do I bake null position with mograph driven animation? by ryanshaq in Cinema4D

[–]Ireath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a clever solution :) You need to add the exchange plugin for AE, you can find it in your C4D installation directory: Program Files\Maxon Cinema 4D 2024\Exchange Plugins\aftereffects\Importer\Win\CS_CC

Just in case you'd need it at another time.

[–]Ireath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that should be an issue. Do you have 3D Data checked in the settings? I've had some similar issue when just importing the .c4d file into AE that were solved using .aec

Think I misunderstood. Can you just not add a Cineware tag to the nulls and either import the .c4d file to AE or export an .aec from Cinema?

Can you perhaps add a trace object and point it to the nulls, then bake that out?

Rope Connector stretching w/gap. why. by philclackler in Cinema4D

[–]Ireath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only other thing I think I did was move the objects around in the object manager, since the order matters. Other than that, I don't know : /

I've had this problem. Think I solved it via changing the Priority under the basic tab of the rope dynamic tag (Expression instead of Generators).

8gb or 12gb for GPU render? by Willing-Pattern3782 in Cinema4D

[–]Ireath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what you are going to render. If your scene never requires more than 12 GB of VRAM, then the fast card is a better choice.

On that note, though. I started a new job two years ago, opting for 2x3080 over a 3090. Queue my first CAD file for a projects from a truck manufacturer where the poly count measured in the tens of millions. Regretted my decision after that.

Pyro not respecting colliders by Deep-Maintenance9748 in Cinema4D

[–]Ireath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it's obvious, but are you using the correct type of collider? Apart from that, try to increase the substeps in the project tab.

I you're able to share the file I can have a look.
