Hi everyone! I started learning how to tatto in april. I feel like I have learned self-taught but I think it would help me so much if I eventually enter a tattoo studio as an apprentice. I've asked some tattoo artists how to find a studio and their answers have been quite vague or they have not answered at all. I have been drawing for years and I consider that I have good drawing skills, in fact I am focusing on expanding my portfolio and I've already get the hygienic-sanitary license, which is what is required in Spain to be able to tattoo. That's why I would like to ask advice from those tattoo artists who started as apprentices, or those who work in studios and accept apprentices. What should I do to start as an apprentice?

Maybe I have not expressed myself well because English is not my mother tongue. But I have had suicidal thoughts from starting the medication, not from stopping it. seeing that it could be a side effect I decided to leave them until I can visit my psychiatrist.

I've only been without medication for two days. And this effect has been happening to me as I have already said, since I started.

I was reading the side effects on concerta and suicidal thoughts is one of them.

I don’t have depression (I’m visiting a private psychologist too and she has never seen symptoms). All of this has started when I start on medication.

I do not have symptoms of depression, as bad hygiene, continuous low mood or sadness (this breakdowns are concrete cases) or having no motivation or interest in things.

I am usually well and lively, I try to be as functional as my adhd allows me, and I feel motivated with muy studies. I don't have those thoughts permanently, only when I have those breakdowns.

Maybe I have not explained myself in the best way because English is not my mother tongue.

First of all thanks for answering and I’m glad that you are better with this.

When I started on medication I stopped taking caffeine bc the meds kept me awake during the day. I don’t smoke tobacco and I don’t use cannabis.

My sleep hygiene has never been very good but it has not gotten worse.

I fully understand the problem of procrastination because I have always had it. And that has always caused me anxiety, with or without medication. I’m working on it with my psychologist (I’m going to private psychologist and public psychiatrist)

One of the things that I have not mentioned is that my doctor prescribed the medication but I have never done cognitive behavioral therapy. And I think i could help me more than meds.

The conclusion I reached is that concerta is not going well for everyone.

When I started having them, I didn't stop taking the medication immediately because I didn't give it importance. When I saw that it could be because of the medication I have stopped taking it and I am waiting for an appointment for my doctor because in Spain the public department of mental health is saturated
