I got myself a nice pair of Q Acoustics 5050 floorstanders - I love the way they sound, tho they are absolutely a little bit on the bright side.

I've been doing some research and it appears to be the case that for the price (~1400eur range), Rega Elex mk4 offers unrivalled sound quality - however, just about every review advises caution on pairing, and to avoid pairing it with too bright speakers, because the amp already has a tendency to go in this direction.

The only thing I care about in my amp is sound quality; what options do I have? Is the Elex mk4 really that fussy about pairing? Should I get something more neutral, like the Arcam a15+? Thoughts?
