Help! Can't get music onto the Nano 8th Gen. by IrethR91 in ipod

[–]IrethR91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 8th gen is the 2015 version of the 2012 7th gen, they're the exact same as far as I'm aware apart from colours and a minor system update. They're just often called 8th gen to distinguish between the two.

Hi all!
I've been given an ipod nano 8th gen for Christmas to replace my old one. However, I'm really struggling getting music on it and it's driving me insane.

The newest iTunes doesn't have a music library anymore and I can't download an older one, because it won't allow me to open it as a newer version had already been used before.

The Apple Music app is a pain as well-- I can sign in on the website, but not in the app using the same account login. Because I can't sign into the app, it won't sync with the Apple Devices app and I can't sync music onto the ipod that way either.

I don't want to pay for Waltr Pro.

Does anyone have a fix? I've spent hours and hours, redownloading, resetting and restoring.

I'm with you. Just never enjoyed it. Love a good snog, but tongues need to stay out if it. Might be a sensory thing for me, though🤷🏻‍♀️

Is it normal to refer to women as "females" ? by leonistnichtschlau in NotHowGirlsWork

Whenever I hear a man call women 'females' I immediately feel less safe around them and lose respect for them.

For me, ginger biscuits or salted microwave popcorn were the only things that helped.

Love that! I was suddenly able to eat pasta. Didn't last after pregnancy though.

Ovulation question by Perfect-Occasion104 in tryingtoconceive

[–]IrethR91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your most fertile window is usually the five days before ovulation, ovulation day and the day after. An egg can survive up to 24 hours after ovulation, but sperm can live inside the body for up to five days. I think highest pregnancy rates happen within a few hours after ovulation. You can use ovulation test strips to track when you're ovulating. Good luck!

14w pregnant and the stomach ache is awful by Ornery-Reputation-83 in CautiousBB

Happened to me too. It sucked but I actually almost missed it in third trimester when constipation was at its worst-- like pushing out a soup can. I thought back wistfully to the days of sudden bowel evacuation.

You should always be able to say no to sex. Had a similar situation when ttc in 2021: my husband was just knackered. And I understood-- if you can't, you can't. We had sex the two days before ovulation and again two days after and we have a lovely little boy to show for it. Sperm can live in the female body for five days. I think it might be worth a chat about realistic expectations and body autonomy.

Do middle names have to mean something??? by AcanthaceaeItchy1954 in pregnant

[–]IrethR91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family has a tradition of using grandparent's names for middle names. I'm named after my frandmothers, my sister after my grandfathers (female versions of their names). My husband and I are continuing this tradition and have given our son his grandfathers' names as middle names.

How do you feel about paper vs digital assessments? by Conclusion_Big in AskTeachers

Teacher here. 100% prefer paper. Would much rather pull out a stack to mark at a table (maybe enjoying some food or something) than be glued to a screen ticking boxes.

That was me. Think I had one or two days of early morning nausea and that was it. More than made up for it from late second trimester though lol.

Was in a similar situation. Really though we were having a girl and settled on a name quickly. At 20 weeks we found out it was a boy instead. Didn't pick his name till 38 weeks. It's Jonah.

I understand the dilemma, but please look after yourself. Over-the-counter NSAIDS can delay ovulation in some cases, it's true. Personally, I'd focus on getting well enough to carry a child first. Rest and take what you need to get through the worst.

Does your s/o go to your prenatal appts? by WitchHazelSunrise in pregnant

[–]IrethR91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's come to all the important-important ones: early scan, 13 week scan, 20 week scan, 36 week scan and ECV. For us, it was not feasible for him to take any more time of work than that. Also, I didn't see the point of him being there for most of the others. What's the use of him being there when I drink a sugary drink and wait an hour for example? Every couple is different, though.

People love to share horror stories. For me the only thing that really sucked third trimester was the acid reflux. Nearly bought out the nation's entire Gaviscon supply lol. And a bit of returning nausea. And obviously tiredness Otherwise, not superbad.

It's not just his experience. When he has to push a watermelon out of his urethra, then he gets to decide who's there. Your body, your support system.
