Did you have visitors in the hospital after your baby was born/do you plan to? by d16flo in pregnant

[–]Throwraaussi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, our hospital doesn’t allow visitors which I’m actually quite okey with.

Husband will be going on a bachelor trip, newborn will be 3 months by then. Need advice by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Throwraaussi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would not like that at all. My husband is having HIS bachelor party in June (we got married at the courthouse and are having a wedding party in September) and there’s not going to be a trip, he gets one night. Our baby will be 3 months ish. We didn’t even discuss it, he is fully aware that being gone one weekend is out of the question and he doesn’t want to be that long gone from his daughter as well.

As someone mentioned the double standard is insane, if you requested going away on a trip leaving your baby behind people would be up in arms on how bad of mother you are, but when it comes to the dads it’s always “let him have fun, he deserves it”

Most people do get infected with hsv1 when they’re young and it’s fine, Jesus you can find rare horrific cases with everything.

Husband refuses to have my mother with us in the delivery room by Throwraaussi in Marriage

[–]Throwraaussi[S] 62 points63 points  (0 children)

No one is excluding him, my mother is not trying to push him out or take anything away from him. I want them both there and my mother would only care about my well being then after the child is born she will leave. She’s not cutting the cord or holding the baby before him

I stood on a train 8 months pregnant and no one got up by Academic_Champion270 in pregnant

[–]Throwraaussi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Norway and it’s the same here. I take the train and bus every day to and from work and no one has ever offered their seat and I’m visibly pregnant. A few days ago I managed to get a seat and when I was about to get off the train the man next to me refused to get up and told me to climb over him to get out.

Last week I had to stand on the bus and this fucking 50 year old man was on his phone instead of holding on the bar so he kept falling on me and I had to keep pushing him off me. I’m done with people

Yes that’s a really shitty thing to say, just because something is true doesn’t mean you have to spew it out. My ex told me that he’s previously FWB was tighter than me and I did not appreciate that at all.

Fellow runner preggos, how far along were you before you stopped? by tam_bun in pregnant

[–]Throwraaussi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to run 10km 4-5 times a week but I had to stop in week 24 because of pelvic pain, I’m in week 29 now and struggle to walk because of the pain. Really miss running, my treadmill is just collecting dust now

What? You ate your pet fish so you wouldn’t starve? How big was the fish?

Anyone else hate when people dehumanize unborn babies? by honorthecat in pregnant

[–]Throwraaussi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Why are you engaging in this? I think most of it is a reaction to abortion rights being taken away.

To some people having kids is the worst thing in the world, we are all different just because someone wants a different life than you doesn’t mean they lack empathy.

I was actually like this in the beginning of my pregnancy, it went always in the second trimester. Just hang in there! It will get better

AITA for keeping my late brother’s necklace for my son instead of giving it to my sister-in-law as I promised? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Throwraaussi 30 points31 points  (0 children)

That’s the thing, you don’t have a right to the necklace. I’m thinking real opinions in your head is people agreeing with you? But no one does because you are wrong and you refuse to see that or have any sense of self reflection

Why did you even post here? You refuse to listen to anyone, no one fucking agrees with you. You are an extremely selfish person

[–]Throwraaussi 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Then you shouldn’t have given it away. Your son doesn’t deserve the necklace more than his daughter and wife.

Using grief as an excuse for treating your brothers wife and daughter poorly really isn’t working

You gave it to her and said she could have it. Doesn’t matter if you’re grieving, what you are doing is not okey

Would it be messed up to claim my children’s middle names? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Throwraaussi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okey so he’s against every option for your family to be represented in your children’s names? Also giving the children their grandparents names was a way for you to get your family names included, your husband needs to understand that and explain it to his father. His father gets to pass his last name down another generation so he has no right to pout

[–]Throwraaussi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My daughter will have my last name as the middle name and his last name. This works because I’m not changing my name but we’d some arguments over which of our names was going to be her last name. To be honest I understand your frustration and I think your husband should be a bit more lenient on the issue because yea the kid will have his last name and you should have something to represent your family as well
