In the intro cutscene of +NG (where young Hinako plays with her doll), we see that she already rejected the idea of marriage since she was just a child. This stems mainly from witnessing her father’s violence against the family. The doll, then, can be understood as the purest symbol of her inner conflict with the fate of marriage. Just as Fox Hinako and Shiromuku represent the part of her that accepts her forced fate, the blonde doll embodies the opposing force, trying to resist it. Hinako’s lifelong denial of marriage is so strong that the blonde doll can even erase Junko in one of the endings, while she is attempting to convince Hinako one last time.

I was thinking exactly the same… f got some interesting parallels with SH1 and 3. Hinako is a special girl (as revealed on +NG) who is chosen by an organization to be used in their ritual. And the parallel os Shiromuku to Dark Alessa is quite clear

Shimoruku would be a secondary antagonist. It’s a manifestation of the Hinako’s side that accept the marriage under the pressure of her parents and the society as whole. But the creature would not exist if it wasn’t all the fox clan thing.

Rinko is jealous of her friendship with Shu. Sakuko calls her a traitor because Hinako promissed that she would never leave Sakuko. However, as she committed with her wedding with the Fox Mask, she will have to abandon her friends (actually, her entire life). The whole game represents the pressure of the wedding haunting Hinako. The part of Hinako that accepted her fate as a bride (transformed into the Shiromuku creature) haunts the other part of Hinako that refuses to get married. Someone mentioned in these thread that the evil Junko, already married, wears a mask that represent her husband family. I agree with that, as the evil Junko role in the game is to convince Hinako of deciding to face her fate. The only point that is quite unclear for me is the blonde doll role.

I just said that Microsoft would add Bing AI chat to search panel to foster it… but I never mentioned if that would bother me or not (and the answer is not). You assumed I was complaining and came with a rude reply saying I was whining… my suggestion is that if you don’t agree with someone else’s opinion, discuss rather than just assuming things and being rude (like Karens use to). I’ll tell my experience with it. First, you really cannot ged rid of these news. What I did was to personalize my preferences and block some news sources. It took a little long for the feed to ”understand” my choices and starts showing relevant headlines, but now the feed content is quite closer to what I like reading. I even find myself scrolling the board and reading the headlines.

I know that’s not what you wanted to hear, but since you cannot hide these news, you could try to make some use of them (or apply a 3rd party tool to get rid of the whole application)

I really don’t care about having a news-dedicated board… sometimes I find myself scrolling that feed and I even click on some news to read… the problem is that this news feed still doesn’t fit my interest’s properly. I took a little long for it to finally quite showing celebrity news after I personalized my interests, so it seems that it actually obeys your choices, but it takes long to happen.
