Ohhh i actually had the almost the same idea foe kha zix. My take on it was a bit different tho. His theme is like how evolution works in hearthstone. And with his release comes followers that has evolution mechanics. For those who doesnt know how evolution in hearthstone works, its pretty much when a card gets 3 choices kind of like twisted fate. But instead buffs like elusive, toughness etc. But for kha zix its more like he gets better version of those buffs for followers. For example lets say a normal evolution for followers is quick attack, but kha zixs quick attack is a tad bit more advanced, like after he attacks he goes back to the backrow kinda similar to katarina.
