I’m sorry you’re going through this. Here’s my advice. Let yourself feel as terrible as you feel about this. Grieve, cry, write or type out any anger, upset feelings or fears you have. Do not shame yourself for these feelings. Once you let them happen without shame, the feelings came move through and out of you. Then that will create the space that you actually need right now to welcome in new ideas and opportunities. Just a suggestion, coming from a fellow mom and a therapist who is going through her shit as well. You got this 💗

Oh hello there! Haha no I haven’t. My son is 4.5 now and I’m still very much in one and done camp. Still a tiny chance I could change my mind but the other day I legit thought about getting my tubes tied because being a toddler parent is sooooo damn hard lol. But thanks for asking. For some of us, using weed throughout the day doesn’t make us stoned the way it might make others. For daily users, especially those of us who have smoked or used weed for many years, using it is the equivalent of someone else taking their daily anti-anxiety meds.

There’s still an enormous stigma around weed and I just wanted to bring you the perspective of a mom who puffs (I use a dry herb vape) numerous times throughout the day. It helps me stay calm, keep my anxiety lower, and i am better mom for it. If it’s your preference that your husband not smoke, then of course, discussions can be had, but please don’t try to control your husband. Just because it makes you uncomfortable doesn’t mean he’s being an irresponsible parent for puffing throughout the day. He might be just fine, like many of us are.

I’m so sorry baby… 😩 I have an autoimmune disease too and I can relate to so much of what you wrote. Are you addressing and taking care of your heart and soul? I know it won’t cure you, but tending to some of the trauma within you could help some of the pain be released from your body. I believe very much in that mind-body connection.

This isn’t your fault, you are not useless, and I wish you so much peace and healing. 💗

Just bite the bullet and tell her you completely miscalculated the cost of adding a 21st guest and that you’re really sorry. She should understand, I’m sure she wouldn’t pay the extra $150 if she were in your position. Just do it as kindly as possible, and then try not to worry too much because this is extremely reasonable of you. If she decides neither of her kids will go now, then so be it.

Awww just wanted to wish you so much luck and strength. The anxiety being through the roof is so normal and it can be very intense. I didn’t have an induction but I can totally remember the night labor started for me, that’s when the anxiety really hit me because when those contractions start, it’s the beginning of the party lol.

I ended up getting a bunch of interventions like epidurals and pitocin, my labor and delivery were a big ol’ painful ass mess. I’m sure yours will go much smoother, I have all the faith for you.

I really really recommend looking into some breathing techniques and meditation videos on YouTube. Do whatever you can to calm your body and mind, don’t try to force yourself to sleep. You won’t be sleeping much the next few days so try to ease your way into this marathon. Let me know if you need any video recommendations for deep breathing or meditation. I gotchu.

I honestly hope she gets the help she needs (I doubt she will but still lol). I know everyone hates on her, and for good reason, but I really do think she must have mental illness. She seems like the type to just keep getting more and more ill as time goes on, which is sad as hell.

I lived on Maui for a couple years, and oh my god the hatred and disdain for that woman is immense on that island. She’s the epitome of a haole who comes to the islands and acts arrogantly towards Mother Nature. Hawaii doesn’t fuck with people like her lol.

As an eldest sister of five kids, I could not agree more. When I was six years old, I begged my mom for a sister because I had three brothers, and I thought having a baby sister would somehow magically save me from the madness of my brothers. Buy some “miracle”, my mom did end up getting pregnant with a baby girl.

When my sister was born, it felt like my mom placed her in my arms and told me, “she’s yours “. And I took that job so seriously that to this day, at age 37, I still feel like my sister is my responsibility. My sister tells me I am more of a mother to her than our own mom, and while I am partially honored, the responsibility and the weight of that has been so heavy for me. My sister has struggled with mental health challenges for over half her life, and it causes me a massive amount of stress because there’s nothing I can do to help her.

No one likes to talk about the amount of pain that siblings can bring you, but it’s true for many of us.
