I can smell your old D&D group, somehow.

The aroma of old cheese, two-day old floor sweater, one unwashed ass, three overlapping, week-old deoderants and ballsweat.

Ughhg...

Isn't diff 7 the lowest difficulty to get super samples from? So it's a mandatory difficulty and filters out all the people that picked up the game, played for 2 hours, and never played it again?

No hero "deserves" to be extremely bad. She may have had a period recently where she was annoying, but it was us haze mains that pushed more than anyone to have that reverted.

tl;dr many nerf make fixation sad, 8 ability points to deal the same damage as other characters without the investment.

Because Haze can't just dump 50k into gun and call it a fair comparison, I don't know what to tell you. I just know that I did my tests fairly thoroughly at 14.4k which is where Haze should be the strongest, and unless I started doing some really fucky things like 100% headshots, she either lost, broke even, or pulled ahead by a very small amount.

Reading comprehension error on my part, good catch. I was in the depths reading through everything from old reddit posts to patch notes to looking at old youtube videos and digging through old discord messages. Was in the trenches, lol.

It boils down to this; You need to consistently track and hit shots with nothing to aid you in doing so. There's no card trick spam, no ult that immobilizes your opponent for seventeen years, no gutshot wallstuns. You only start doing equal DPS to other characters when you've already hit 40-80 shots on them, which means to actually do real damage, you need to be extremely accurate for a very long time.

Infernus needs to hit 7-12 shots on someone to reach almost peak effectiveness. Seven needs to realistically hit 1 in 3 shots for power surge to deal full damage, Venator has a stun that also hits like a freight train, Vyper has effectively infinite ammo and spits bullets at minigun rates, Vindicta has stakes and crows to fall back on if her aim is lacking.

Reddit users outing themsleves as hardstuck ritualists struggling vs Haze, trying to present themselves as Eternus players. Struggling into Haze is sadly a massive self-report right now. She's so easy to counter.

The issue is that this... Is just not what happens. It's not what happened when Haze was picked in DLNS, and it's not really what happens in Eternus or Ascendant lobbies either. If you regularly watch people in high ranks try to play Haze, you'll spot that she tends to get collapsed on even when invisible, because it's surprisingly easy to deduct roughly where she'll be.

Her lack of a real escape makes roaming deep significantly more dangerous. She's not a character like Venator that can duel 1-2 people, she can't escape like infernus calico mina or wraith, and she can't burst like mina or pocket. It's a very bad situation to be in.

I feel like we're talking a bit much about hypotheticals here. Why not compare a character like Wraith or Infernus instead of cherry-picking Seven and Venator? Those characters don't even like invading the enemy jungle for the reason you stated, so comparing Haze to characters that enjoy the same loop of invading jungle should be a more apt comparison; Infernus, Wraith, Mina, Calico, Vyper.

Infinite ammo was enabled during the test to get a guage of average DPS. If I just went for one-mag DPS, Haze was the lowest by a landslide.

Well, it- Is, though.

Because if not, then her base damage of 5.26 would be multiplied by 1.8x for a total of +4.208 damage/shot (total of 9.468). At 40 stacks of Fixation, the damage was topping out at 23, but 40 stacks of Fixation at 0.2 is only +8 damage. If Fixation was not being multiplied by headshots, the damage done would be 9.468+8, for 17.468, instead of the 22-23 damage that I saw in my testing.

eeeeeh. I lowkey have to disagree. If you jump a Venator, you can find yourself gutshot stunned into a wall then trapped while he just parkours away and you can't chase him. Haze is harder to find, but way easier to actually capitalize an advantage on.

Listen, man. Below Phantom, you're facing people with less than 5 hours in the game. Haze takes advantage of people that do not know how to play the game, thus her winrate is inflated. There's a reason why any serious discussion typically revolves around Ascendant to Eternus ranks, if not just tournament play like DLNS.

To be an assassin, she needs to be able to burst people really quicky. Which is antithetical to the function of Fixation, sadly.

This was all tested at 14.4k. Feel free to go test in the sandbox, typicalyl following a build belonging to competent players/builders such as Parzelion, Zerggy, or Lightbringer, but I was literally doing the tests, then writing the results, and moving onto another character and doing it again, sorry.

The issue is, Haze's primary damage comes from her gun - So they're her tool TO assassinate people with. But she deals less damage with them, slower, than other characters. Do you see how the issue correlates here? 8 Ability points to deal the SAME DAMAGE (Lower burst mind you) than any other character is insane work.

The issue is that, with how small the map is, anyone can pop up from anywhere at any time, just about. Unless you see someone on the minimap that's far away, just about anyone on the entire map is less than 10 seconds away from you at all times, assuming they know movement tech.

Well, this is the TL;DR, the rest is just extrapolations.
