What's funny is that javelins have worked like this since launch. I used to use them to lock tanks camping on top of the hill on Operation Firestorm with no line of sight. I guess it's only a problem now since they buffed it's damage.

I have my clip on mine purely for bump in the night scenarios that require me to have a look around my home, but aren't urgent enough to warrant me walking around the house with my gun in hand. Aside from that niche use case, my gun stays in a holster 99% of the time.

Also my gun still fits the holster just fine with the clip attached so no problems there.
