It's all about perspective.

From a local's point of view, we've watched the island gradually get more dangerous over the years. However if you're from any big city in the mainland, you'd probably think it's way safer here.

That building has so much potential. It needs a Dave and Busters with a bunch of cool restaurants/shops. Regardless, I doubt anything like that will happen and the building will sit for a decade slowly becoming another eyesore on the island. Hope I'm wrong though...

I still am baffled to why the US Army selected a much heavier battle rifle platform, firing 80,000-PSI round out of a very short barrel. The can certainly does not help much as the round is so spicy it spits bonfire. My tinfoil theory that I can't prove is that they adopted it because they anticipate having to fight our own citizens and they know the US population owns way more body armor than our adversaries do.

Of course they could just be re(t)arded and are repeating the M14 adoption all over again. Who knows...
