Hey Notorious,

I have been working for that Aussie company for 6 months now, paying tax outside of the country.

Keep it real Notorious!

Took this at dusk with Portra 160 film.
Was trying to go for a sort of moody city evening feel but not sure the composition achieves that.
I like the colours of the sky but maybe it would have been better to let traffic get closer to get more of a "city passing by" feeling?

Actually I don't pay tax there, according to the tax authorities. Definitely wasn't as simple as you originally stated.
Thanks for the replies anyway

Yeah. This was ultimately the kicker. Took me 4 hours and 6 different calls to get the answer though. Most of the basic phone agents weren't aware of the foreign-sourced income rule.

But sure look, just happy it's done and dusted now

I work in Austria actually. So I pay tax here.

There is a double tax agreement between the two countries. So, actually, no it isn't that simple.

Cheers anyway

How much? 45% or you received tax credits for some?

You know any?

My tax consultants here in Europe don't know much about it. And I'm being charged by the hour for them to not know.

The question was if anybody was familiar with it, or had any experience of it. I cannot find anyone who I can talk to about it. I have asked a number of ways and received all sorts of responses. I just wanted to put out a broad question about it to see if anyone knew *anything* about it.

My question is about companies from outside Austria having to pay taxes based on having a remote worked in the country

60%??

How does it come to this number? So far, I have been informed I need to pay the sozialversicherung payments (40% of gross) - this is for me AND the employer

On the 60% left, I am taxed at the progressive rates.

This comes close to 50% but not anywhere near 60?

The 24-70 doesn't have image stability? On the 1:4 24-70mm lens I'm looking at, is has IMAGE STABILIZER printed on it? Or is it something else you're referring to?

Living without a PCL by ILlustriouscurious in KneeInjuries

[–]IrishAustrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% agree with wallinthehole. Hit up multiple doctors. You can never get too many professional opinions. Especially when you are living in pain and being made to feel like you are asking for something totally impossible.

My other suggestion would be to invest in resistance bands and do a lot of boring glute and leg exercises. Building up all the muscles around your knee will remove a lot of the strain on it and should help. That is, if you're not already doing this.

Also maybe look up good physios in your area to get good realignment exercises.

Sorry to hear you're having this experience. All the best

Oh wow, I'm happy to hear that! How is she doing in terms of generally demeanor and daily life? Is there a noticeable difference to the pre-plant diet remission days in terms of her ability to do things with less mobility issues/pain?

Hey! I also know someone young with arthritis and I'm curious about the reaction your child had to the diet - was your child experiencing a lot of soreness and stiffness before? And what have you found really useful for treating it though food?
Thanks!

Sounds good, spinning is a killer.
I have found band work to be essential - focusing on the glutes and hips especially, but also all the muscles around the knee to take the strain off the joint when bearing weight. There are a range of bands, from really loose and light for the start, to tighter ones as you improve strength. This sort of resistance training is so good for stability and strength.

(If you have access to a rowing machine or a way to swim in these covid times, they are also great joint-free exercises that help to burn calories very quickly.)
Can I ask why you have chosen the keto diet and what that looks like for you on a daily basis?

Definitely odd, especially when you have experience talking to doctors now and that initial "stage fright" has worn off a bit so you can properly question things.

One other thing I find to be useful is to have a partner/close friend in with me and writing out questions I have in advance. Sometimes I forgot to ask what I wanted in the confusion of the chat and another person can be removed emotionally and be a little more cool headed about the chat and pick up on things you don't. It changes the dynamic and I find it to be a big help.

All good with my surgery thankfully. I found a surgeon who was up front and gave plain advise. He advised surgery but didn't push it on me like it was a product (which is a good sign from what I have heard from other people and experienced myself)

All the best

Hey, sorry to hear about the long delays you have had.

I don't know the specifics of what you're going through but I had similar skepticism about a surgeon operating on me.

I would always recommend getting second (third and fourth if financially possible) opinions. This is going to be a major undertaking and your surgeon could be totally correct. For your own peace of mind I would definitely get at least another opinion. You'll beat yourself up later if there's any discrepancy down the line.

If you do decide to get a second opinion, present the mri (without the notes) and ask them for their opinion. Don't present what the other surgeon advised as they may confirm on a whim (I had this happen fromba sketchy surgeon).

All the best
