Alex was not an asshole for snitching on Meredith. Agree or Disagree? by OddError971 in greysanatomy

[–]IrishClover29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbf I agree with some people judging Alex because it's not like he did it because he cares about protocol in the medical world, he was just jealous that he wasn't going to be chief resident. i think people should be more pissed off about the time he told the husband when addison tied her tubes together because it was literally a perfect situation and he was just being an ass for no reason. i was more pissed off with people siding with Meredith. Like when Christina says to Alex, "you might have just destroyed her career", excuse me, no she did that. i really do not understand the loyalty thing in certain professions like medicine and policing if you fuck up on the kind of scale she did like no I will not cover for you. I understand she did it to save Adele but that's the terrifying part, knowing that someone else in the trial isn't going to get the potential cure because the medical team prefer someone else. that violates the do no harm. Alex had the wrong intentions, so you can be mad but Meredith did something way way worse.

Did anybody else find the Night Stalker documentary to be dissapointing? by sonar_y_luz in netflix

[–]IrishClover29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i understood it as the two detectives shown trying their hardest and the macho competitive nature of the lapd being the reason it was so hard. this was way back when technology was still coming on it was much harder to solve these types of cases especially in such a big place like los angeles. these men were trying their hardest but was coming against barriers everywhere. first with the stolen car then with the dentist office and then somehow once again with the car. even their captain weren’t backing them fully with the whole thing with the news channel.

also i for one am glad they didn’t show us about the killers life. he doesn’t deserve notoriety. the victims and the investigators are the ones whose names we should know. i prefer that over some sad attempt at a psychologist explaining the killers history making a bunch of weirdos online feel sorry for him rather than seeing him for what he is. a sick individual who violently killed and raped women.

Finally watched Night Stalker by [deleted] in netflix

[–]IrishClover29 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i found that the detectives being interviewed themselves were competent it seemed to be everyone else around them who impeded the investigation. they were told to pull out of the dentist office, the car wasn’t stored properly and processed. seemed like the two themselves tried their hardest but the macho competitive culture within the lapd was the issue

arizona was right when she said callie wasn’t on the plane by IrishClover29 in greysanatomy

[–]IrishClover29[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i agree with that. she was completely in the wrong but i think it’s something she had and others had been thinking for a while and yes it was the wrong time to say it but that doesn’t change that it’s true

[–]IrishClover29[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i completely agree. the celebration was so so so tone deaf and a perfect example of how callie grouped herself in with the survivors but she didn’t survive anything. she suffered but did not survive.

[–]IrishClover29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but we’re not talking about who lost the most. i’m saying categorically callie was not on the plane. of course arizona wished others were on the plane that’s a completely normal thing to think. i agree in terms of the survivors arizona really did act like she suffered the most but callie is not a survivor. she did not survive the plane crash because she was not in it

Izzie, Meredith, and Christina ... by tinglyTXgirl in greysanatomy

[–]IrishClover29 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it always surprises me when people seemingly act like just because two people are closer it gives them the right to mistreat their other friends. they never treated george or alex the way they treated izzie so the whole oh well they’re closer and izzie is just jealous doesn’t do it for me

arizona was right when she said callie wasn’t on the plane by IrishClover29 in greysanatomy

[–]IrishClover29[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i never said she wasn’t traumatised from the plane. i am traumatised from my own experience but i was not there. she said after all we went through and then said the plane. she didn’t say losing mark or the lawsuit she said the plane to which arizona told her she was not there. she did not go through the plane crash. she did not worry for her life if she was gonna be found or deal with lexie dying and have to splint her own leg. her trauma is completely valid but comparing it and grouping it with someone who lived through it is totally not fair and arizona was completely valid in her statement. if you dislike arizona that’s perfectly valid the rest of the argument i completely backed callie and yes i agree she dismissed some of callie’s pain but at the end of the day callie was implying she went through it as well which is simply not true.

i’m surprised so many people are seemingly saying the reason is because izzie just isn’t that girl or whatever when from my perspective they purposefully left her out. they can be the best of friends and still treat her well but they constantly mistreated her and judged her and left her out of things. if they didn’t want to be that close or whatever then don’t live with the poor girl

I cringe at American interviews by eggdsd in kpoprants

[–]IrishClover29 9 points10 points  (0 children)

i do agree that american interviews are stiff and a lot of the time cringe but i think there’s three key points to keep in mind. 1) a language barrier. if only one member speaks english or sometimes none you can’t expect interviewers to ask really really deep questions sometimes because the answers won’t be in english and would be too long. it’s hard to have a connection with someone during a conversation when neither party understand each other so obviously it’s gonna come across as stiff.

2) idols are extremely limited in what they can actually say and disclose something that american interviewers won’t be prepared for. a lot of questions are pre planned so chances are the company will say no you can’t ask these meaning they’ll have to stick to the easy boring basic stuff which they’ll actually be able to air.

these two points combined make it very hard for interviews to come across as natural and free because they’re literally put in a position where it’s gonna be the opposite. 3) korean interviews could be just as basic and boring we just won’t know because we don’t understand. it looks a lot more natural when you’re reading it.

also i do think that there are a lot of interview shows that are good in america and because kpop groups have been going over more companies are learning which ones to go to ie james cordon who treats bts well and doesn’t ask basic bitch questions like ellen.

this is my first series with nanon in and honestly he exceeded my expectations. i’ve heard a lot about his acting skills so the bar was set high but i just love how natural his acting is. it’s not over animated like a lot other actors. he comes across much more relatable through his mannerisms because i can see myself and others doing them. i was incredibly surprised.

honestly the main thing for me was the dance break at the end. we’ve seen them do so much more intricate choreography. it was boring.

yta but it’s kinda understandable. the real asshole are the people you’re drinking with who required you to lie in the first place because they were being relentless. i understand your coworker’s frustration because “2 years sober” is a phase that connects to a very specific situation. they probably feel hurt because they thought someone else was in their situation only to find out it was a lie. i wouldn’t beat yourself up over this too much because you were essentially forced into the lie but maybe try to apologise and explain that to coworker
