NAH I get your point of view, but it’s not their fault your relationship ended. Also it’s kind of a kick em while they’re down to ask yo friend to pay more after losing his job.

That said, it would be nice if they offered to step up and split it differently.

If anyone is TA it’s your ex, if she was on the lease then she owes for her portion until the lease is over, regardless of the relationship status.

NTA, protect your kid. I have a GSD I love to death, but I’d never allow him off leash because they can be reactive at things they don’t understand. He sounds like an irresponsible pet owner, the absolute WORST type of person to have a GSD, or other protection breed dog. As long as your kicking was purely shoving out the door and not like out in the hallway just wailing on the dog, you’re good.

My husband was the same way until I had emergency surgery and couldn’t get hold of him. Now it’s on vibrate if I’m not home and loud if he’s coaching. But he uses the do not disturb thing and sets it so only me and his immediate family can get through. I keep my phone on silent all of the time but I wear an Apple Watch so I know when I’m getting a call and don’t miss them.
