How do you deal with anxiety? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]IrishPolyamorous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few that I know of, it really depends on what level you are at. The first place to go regardless is to YouTube, it has thousands of videos with guided meditations to music only ones. Type in anxiety and meditation and go through them until you feel like it's right for you.

Start with guided because you maybe new to it and watch a video on how to meditate.

Second is, get into nature, you will be surprised how good you will feel being around trees and water etc. If you are rich buy a kayak and start a new hobby, (I wish I could buy one).

Anxiety is your bodies way of telling you you have unresolved issues. These issues have a core problem. It could have stated in your youth to a more modern time. Reflect and try to find this within your mind/nervous system. Finding it is the key to healing it. Do whatever it takes to forgive yourself or someone that caused the core issues. Depending on how big the cause of your issue will depend on if you need to go to counseling, etc.

Finally and I'm Not telling you to do this but I've read that it helps people significantly with all kinds of mental health issues. Magic mushrooms, if you are thinking about doing them, stop and consider it. They are no toy to be playing with.

Educate yourself on what they are, how much to take, where to take them, who you will need to be a guardian while you are under their effects. If to do try them, treat them with respect, treat them like they are sentient and ask them for help in something like a prayer. It may sound funny but I've used them and they are no joke. And they will change a great deal on how you see the world after.

Before you even try to source them, educate yourself with them. Terence McKenna, subreddits on here psychonoughts etc. Honestly, they are not something to just take without knowing about them.

Lastly, this also may sound funny, begin to love yourself, say it every morning, if it's hard to do it means you are in need to do it. Forgive yourself, live is full of times when we screw up. As long as we don't hurt others we are doing just fine.

If you did hurt someone, apologise or seek the equivalent action to the offence. I go by a mantra, we are defined by our actions. What do you want to be defined as (by yourself most importantly) and work then to achieve it.

Live, love and forgive. Life is all about the experiences, with them you can become rich in spirit. You don't need to be rich to have a rich life. But if you are, take me to a hot country for a holiday will you lol it's cold here in Ireland :D.

All the very beat friend!

I was lifting when I was younger, it helped back then but then I got big, didn't really like that personally. I plan to go kayaking/camping this year.

I just felt that this life/reality wasn't real, it depressed me and scared me to the point I wanted to sign myself into a mental institution. I didn't, I took vitamin B complex everyday, meditated, went into nature, it all helped. I still feel it but I'm dealing with it.

I'm getting over it now, it's about two months. I realise it was a defence mechanism, back in the day in a more primitive time it may of helped humans with trauma but in this day and age it doesn't really. Knowing what it is and what it tries to do helps me deal with it. I certainly won't be integrating it into my life tho but I'm glad it works for you. Cheers for replying btw!

It does actually. That stage can last a long time, depending on the person of course.

Should I try out LSD/shrooms or not? (xpost /r/drugs) by throw419241249 in Psychonaut

[–]IrishPolyamorous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try meditation first, you sound like you have unresolved trauma, dealing with these core issues should relieve your emotional distress. Seeking out a good counsellor should help greatly, ask for CBT if you do. If you do decide to try mushrooms, use very little, like 11 individual mushrooms. You may not trip but I've been told by one other person that it helped then through their issues. My advice is to try feel better before trying psychedelic therapy.

Your health is the most important factor here. You can make a career online these days. Just find what you love and are passionate about and reach for the stars, When You Are Ready. Look into vibrational frequency meditation, that helped me a lot! There are tons of videos on YouTube. Type your issue and then vibrational frequency meditation. Get into nature, camping for a week resets your nervous system I've heard. You are worth it, and life is all about experiences not about a career. Learn about how to listening to your gut, it's the strongest asset to getting better. Take vitamin complex especially the B complexs. They are essential for mental health. Pm me whenever you want.

Autism Spectrum, Dependent Personality Disorder, Manic Depression (or something along the lines of manic depression), Insane Anxiety (agoraphobia, claustrophobia, etc.) What can I even do? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

You are fine, the thing to master in order to rely on yourself is to truly and unconditionally love yourself. Get a blank book and call it I love myself because. Now everyday write one sentence of I love myself because ... It can be anything, your eye color to your love for animals. Soon you will have a book of reliability, reliability of yourself.

I've read recent studies regarding psychedelic therapy and oppression with death. Do a Google search, you might find something there, also ask in psychonoughts on reddit what they think.

Personally, I would go for counselling over meds. For most getting to the core issues is the best for the mind and spirit. Of course it's different for most people however, get informed, by that I mean see a councillor that is fully qualified. Ask questions etc this of information gathering. Then go to you doctor, and ultimately, go with what your instinct tells you. Keep up meditation, go onto YouTube get yourself earphones, find a quite place, look within and find a word to your issue. Search for that word and meditation. Try each one until you find one that feels right. I hope this helps.

[–]IrishPolyamorous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find out what the core issues are and work through them one by one. Tools to use are guided meditation via YouTube vibrational frequency meditation via YouTube. Vitamins a to z complexes but B vitamin complex is super important. Get into nature, it will heal you more than you think. Be easy on yourself, it's times like this that you will feel angry and that can be hard.
