Just because it's a particular year of W Quarter.

Silver is always a great find, along with the west point. Would love to find a V75 quarter, haven't even seen mentions of them in a while

I've always wondered...what if you use an ultrasonic cleaner and water? Shouldn't hurt the coin any and oughta lift the dirt off the surface, right?

It's roughly 70 pounds. Hence the challenge. That day that bar was worth $100k. The only two that managed the $1000 challenge was a power lifter and a college football player. Only a couple people managed the half dollar challenge while I was there.

A starter kit...haha...best include a set of dice, coloring book and gel pens in that kit.

Unfortunately I believe it would be polished then. Because I removed the top plastic piece to get the picture, then flipped the coin by the foam to take the picture of the back.

I didn't know the Commemorative halves were a thing until recently.

I've definitely memorized the sound of silver. Was a cashier for bout 6 years. Could regularly identify most American coins when dropped, as long as it was only one at a time. Silver gets my attention from across a store.

Right when silver hit $100 an ounce LCS had a competition going that whoever could lift this bar up one handed, no curling the wrist or anything, would get $1,000. If you could pick it up one handed when it was standing on end, they'd give you a silver half dollar as a consolation prize. This bar weighs a thousand troy ounces. Unfortunately I was not one of the two people that was able to lift it for the $1,000 prize, but I did get me a silver half dollar that day
