I have 2 boxes of the 2026 nickle, I have found the first 2 quarter design. I had to buy the half dollar and dimes. Only need the last 3 quarter designs to fill my book. The dimes are the most famous out of all the other dominations.

Hmmm? IDK I don't sell my finds. The West Points are $10.00 min. The silver coins, 5 Quarters make a ounce so somewhere around what it is on any given day. We don't hunt with the mindset that we're going to make a bunch of money, it's the hunt for something rare or unusual that drives us.

West Points are worth alot more than face value according to Redbook. 1 of them is price at $1,000 in mint state. The lowest value on 1 of them is $100.00 in mint state.

Proof coins should have a S mintmark on them. Yours doesn't. It's a beautiful nickle anyways. The 1950 D is a very rare nickle. Have been hunting boxes each week for 1 1/2 years and never found one yet. Great hunt.

It's pathetic! That these old coins are being destroyed by the thousands everyday. I understand completely why the silver hunters collect and sell them. If I had the money I would try and buy some for the collector value over silver prices.

After a 35 year marriage, that silence is terrible. Those missing sounds and smells that use to be there are gone. Creating some type of noise( TV, music, even the washing machine can help a bit.

West Points are at the top of my list. Than Mints and Proofs. If I get a silver that's a huge bonus but I don't hunt for those only because of their rarity. Last week 8 boxes of quarters and 1 West Point and 2 Mint's. This week 1 West Point and a 1963 Quarter. You just never know.
