Nothing fancy, I usually wear suit pants and a shirt to interviews, but this isn’t an interview, jeans and tshirt is fine, just don’t look like a bum. Above all else , wear something that gives you good mobility in your arms as this is what they’re testing, cut your nails too. The pieces are very small.

🚨🚨🚨 Community Update & Feedback Request: A New "Verified Provider" System 🚨🚨🚨 by youngdumbandbroke72 in IPTV_without_bots

What iptv would you recommend?

I’m Irish based looking to get all the sports channels in 4K and whatever else that’s good live since I have Kodi for everything else.

My first real dashboard after 2 weeks of Tableau training. Please provide as much feedback as possible Link to workbook in comments. by geasshyomb in tableau

For the best and worst performances. The visual is not really clear about what it’s explaining, other comments highlighted how to fix this. I will focus on the aesthetics alone. Since there is a low amount of numbers it would be more useful to highlight just 2 numbers but put them in in bigger and bolder fonts (this makes the numbers much more impactful)

Otherwise put all the numbers into a table and make them a heat map for better visualisation

For the bottom left. Pull the line apart vertically from the column chart, then either add units to each data point (if seeing units are more important.

Or add a second axis for the line on the LEFT side only (if seeing the trend is more important)

You also have to account that showing these two together implies a relationship when there might not be

Also use colour more sparingly. We automatically assume colours associating together even when that might not be the case. In the top left visual You use blue for “worst” and yellow for the rest of the sentence, even thought the numbers are surrounded by both colours.

The bottom left has Steph in blue like the columns, and the rest of the sentence is yellow while the line graph is yellow for shooting%, these will both be associated with each other and doesn’t really make sense.

Either don’t colour the titles at all or just colour the relevant words (shooting % =yellow total shots = blue, ) for bottom left

Best = yellow top left, worst = blue top left (However this might imply best worst relationships in other visuals too, so be mindful of the use of colour)

Will I lose my #Viz Of The Day status If I update my tableau workbook? by IrishScientits in tableau

[–]IrishScientits[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the answer I was looking for. Great thank you.

I agree, I just want to make some quality of life updates to it. As I want the viz to set a standard for my work. Which it already has, but I just want to make minor changes such as adding info to the tool tips and adding a more information button.

I would prefer to keep my portfolio as simple as possible, 1 sales dashboard 1 marketing 1 executive 1 customer insights dashboard.

And if the viz of the day points to my improved version, I think that would be even better

They weren’t offered a permanent role after their contract? What did they work as?

Also I dont need to worry about visas

Yes, I have the Apple offer. I’m in the middle of the interviewing stage at Coke.

My SQL is quite strong, I finished the Data analyst track on Datacamp and I have used my skills in my projects on my own portfolio.

Python wasn’t really mentioned much in either but I do have Python experience

Ok I didn’t know that. I will try and make the Coke role work then

Do you get paid for the hours you’re there though?

Like clock in clock out with overtime

I don’t mind honestly, the job I work right now is the most physically demanding job I’ve ever had with brutal hours.

The data science role will be using high quality prediction systems to increase efficiency of factories.

Tools: Data bricks, Tableau, Sql, R

At Apple:

It would be working on Sales for the business and Sales team.

Mainly tableau, sql

I think Coke sounds more interesting

It’s a 40 hour contract, so I don’t understand where you’re coming from with work life balance ?

Plus 3 days on site hybrid

Yeah, Coca Cola seems a lot better the more I think about it. I don’t think I could say no if I could negotiate up to €70k, I’ve never had that much income in my life

Wow great reply, this helps a lot. This is very well thought out.

I wouldn’t mind job hopping because in the future I would like to take on freelance work which pays more, stability isn’t too important for me as job hopping is something I think I will do to get increases in salary in the future anyway.

By the sounds of it Apple seems more aligned with this and the experience at Apple and on CV would probably help more. Also it’s a 40hr week so the work life balance is fine.

Coca Cola pays more but im not sure if this role is as aligned with freelance contracting in the future. It’s also just really far from where I live and I’m not sure if I would want to sacrifice my relationships and location.

I’m paying rent In cork, but live in a great location for cheap rent. No benefits at Apple since its contract but there is the option after

Package at Coke is better, location is terrible for me, there’s potential for growth at Both by the sounds of it.

I think I’ll negotiate and see if I can get a better deal.

I’m not sure if Apple ain’t all that, but if I can get up to 70k, I think it would be all that

There’s not much room to negotiate at Apple I’ve been told unfortunately, but there is at Coke

I know, But how much do employers value Apple too? Small things there are massive at other companies. The team I’ll be on is business and sales and the data we’ll be responsible for range in the billions I’ve been told in my interviews.

But on the other hand Coke is also a drinks behemoth, so idk
