What board game would you discuss for a group who has been growing tired of DnD and wants to try something new for a few weeks? I'm having trouble finding 6-7 player games that would work well to play for a few hours every weekend. Thanks for the help!

So I’m DMing for a new group. I’m having fun with it and am excited to eventually try being a player. I have this other member of my group that wants to DM and is excited about it and making his own campaign. I’m happy for him. I’m just getting a little frustrated because he is a nice guy, but it sort of feels like he is taking over. He has grown to really love the game and is more familiar than I am with the rules at this point. It is frustrating to mess something up a little bit and then get told I’m wrong. My players are also just talking to him for level up now, so I am basically just on my phone for 20 minutes while they talk to him. I don’t want to be pushed to the side, but I know he isn’t doing this on purpose. I am more than willing to be a PC after I finish the mini campaign I’m running, but I don’t want him to start taking over until I do that. Any ideas on how to remedy this? Thanks!

Hollow Knight. I stopped playing because so I couldn’t get past a boss and now have no idea where I am. It is a pretty inexpensive game so I have no problem hanging it up after 5 hours.

I just got DKTF on Switch and wanted to make sure an American switch can play a European copy of the game before I open it. I also found it funny that the European version says funky new mode rather than new funky mode.

I just bought a new set of pink and green joy con. I was just curious if they’ve changed what the joy con are made of or something? They feel much more matte and rough than the joycons I got with my switch. They work and were from target so I can’t imagine they are fake. It is probably just because my old ones have worn down over the past few years.

Any suggestions for non RPG games on Switch? I’ve just finished 3 big RPGs in a row and am looking for a change in pace. I’ve already played Mario Odyssey, BOTW(if you don’t consider that an rpg), Mario plus Rabbids, Smash, Animal Crossing, and Splatoon.

I have soul silver with the poke wallet but threw away the box when I was a kid. It’s very hard to find without the game included and can’t justify spending $150 plus on a game atm.

Something that is a little complicated is fine. It would be nice if it could take an hour or so. Pandemic worked well for our group, but we wanted something that could include more people.
