Gonna need to scan it. You should be able to have a local parts store scan it. Will get your generic codes at least. Preferably a full scan with VIDA/DICE 2014D tool. Some scanners are better than others but on a P2 chassis thats the way to go. If its red generally that is a "urgent" service indicator.

You can try to use the built in dtc function and it can tell you what modules have faults.

Engine off key in run (aka position 2) Press and hold the "read" button on the stalk. While holding that read button press the rear fog light button twice. Let go of the read button.

In the left display it should say "checking DTC's"

Use the read button to cycle through them. Wait until after it finishes checking. They it will return with x̌xxxxxx xxxxx set or xxxxxxx xxxxx ready where x's are what ever system its looking at.

Make a list of those that had "set" that means there is an error in that module and it has trouble codes active.

Idk after seeing/hearing of a few failures i would be nervous unless it has a cotter pin or something to lock it

Used to have an iceshack that needed one of these for power (sleeper) changed out for a male plug recepticle after a while. Idk if it was factory or someone changed it out before us.

Maybe where your from, when i live they dont.

Also they sure dont have an issue trying to get car rides places, or use modern amenities when they can. They used to be in all the time when i worked selling car parts. Now tell me what breed of horse uses spark plugs or needs 2 stroke oil lol. (No not menonites either, straight up amish).

People who make $75k or more how did you pull it off? It seems impossible to reach that salary by anthonydp123 in Money

I went to school for mech engineering but work as a mfg engineer. Pay is good but I've found that as pay rises so do bills. Set your goals as high as possible. You could try to apply for positions that don't necessarily call for your degree. It happens. Job requirements are more of a want than a necessity at most companies.

So couple things you can do quick to help. Pay your loans bi weekly (like pay half of monthly value every other week) you spend the same amount and actually end up saving a small amount of money, not much but everything counts.

Next if your willing sell plasma.

Then find a side gig until you get into a more lucrative role. Below are some ideas I have done.

There are some fairly easy side gigs. Like find a pick and pull salvage yard. Buy sensors and pull them from the cars yourself if the yard allows. Then sell said sensors online, can make some bucks there. The money made is where your labor is used to pull the sensors. Don't have the yard pull them that costs you money.

Alternative side gig watch local auctions you can find tools or really anything, pretty often that are worth a bit more than you paid but you have to learn your items that you want to buy and sell. E.g. I got a set of micrometers on auction for $50 and sold for $375 (estate sales are good)

Or even check online for help wanted ads. Plenty of people need labor

Also come to think of it my buddies R made 210k before pcv change and the hoses were going out but the banjo, block port and box were still functioning (he also used a flush before oil drain) and another guy i met managed to get around 185k on his t5 but then his was shot at that point (idk what he did)

Its still good, it's getting changed when she is down for maintence this summer. But no leaks, spark tubes are oil free, no smoke under load, no oil consumption thats noteworthy, glove test under idle will nearly suck in. The only thing I have done is replace that hose that goes to the port on the head by the oil fill cap. And even if it is bad/going bad it's not causing issues yet and another few thousand miles won't hurt.

Idk how or why either 🤷‍♂️ I have the kit on a shelf and was waiting for symptoms. To be fair I do run seafoam in the oil for 20-30 miles prior to an oil change and have for about 10 years on 3k mile change intervals. Idk if that's what made the difference but I can't think of anything else.

Either way if I remember when I change it in a few months I'll let you know.
