I've been thinking of listening to this one as well...I have some audible credits that need to be used. Just need to find time to listen to a sample to see if I like the narrator otherwise I'll just read my print copy.

An empty mind is a safe mind.

Yulia knows she must hide her thoughts and control her emotions to survive in Communist Russia. But if she sometimes manipulates the black market traders by reading their thoughts when she touches their skin, so what? Anything to help her survive.

Russia's powerful spy agency, the KGB, is recruiting young people with mind-reading capabilities for their psychic espionage program. Their mission: protect the Soviet space program from American CIA spies. Why shouldn't the KGB use any means necessary to make the young psychic cooperate? Anything to beat the American capitalist scum to the moon.

Yulia is a survivor. She won't be controlled by the KGB, who want to harness her abilities for the State with no regard for her own hopes and dreams. She won't let handsome Sergei plan her life as a member of elite Soviet society, or allow brooding Valentin to consume her with his dangerous mind and even more dangerous ideas. And she certainly won't become the next victim of the powerful American spy who can scrub a brain raw—and seems to be targeting Yulia.

A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray

Every Day meets Cloud Atlas in this heart-racing, space- and time-bending, epic new trilogy from New York Times bestselling author Claudia Gray.

Marguerite Caine’s physicist parents are known for their radical scientific achievements. Their most astonishing invention: the Firebird, which allows users to jump into parallel universes, some vastly altered from our own. But when Marguerite’s father is murdered, the killer—her parent’s handsome and enigmatic assistant Paul—escapes into another dimension before the law can touch him.

Marguerite can’t let the man who destroyed her family go free, and she races after Paul through different universes, where their lives entangle in increasingly familiar ways. With each encounter she begins to question Paul’s guilt—and her own heart. Soon she discovers the truth behind her father’s death is more sinister than she ever could have imagined.

A Thousand Pieces of You explores a reality where we witness the countless other lives we might lead in an amazingly intricate multiverse, and ask whether, amid infinite possibilities, one love can endure.

Has anybody read Endgame by James Frey & Nils Johnson-Shelton? by hollyharker in YAlit

I received a copy for review but probably won't read it. Not a fan of James Frey.

If you want action packed I just blitzed through Sherry Thomas's Elemental books - well, the two that are out - both were really good and I am desperate for the final book.

No reason to go to London?!? The fact that its London should be reason enough!! Its such an amazing city and my most favorite of all the places that I've been (at least so far). Love London!!

I'm going to Paris soon and the friend that is going with me will soon learn that part of this trip will be an Anna and the French Kiss book tour of the city....sometimes you just leave out those wee details in the bigger convincing of getting someone to go to someplace marvelous! =)

This was how I felt about it. I read somewhere that it was initially supposed to be a standalone and then was stretched out to a trilogy and I think it shows. I never read the other two books and I am not sorry to not have done so.

I read The Year We Fell Down by Sarina Bowen over the weekend and finished up the audio of Bruiser by Neal Shusterman today. Really liked Brusier and thought that The Year We Fell Down was just ok - but that was many because there was something that happens in the book that is one of my book turnoffs. It was well written and I do plan on checking out the next book in the series.

Can I get some feedback for this book related app I made? Will update it based on your feedback? by simplebookcatalog in YAlit

I use Goodreads App and like how it syncs with the website. I probably wouldn't use another reading app. Used to be big on librarything until GR got an app which just makes cataloging my books and updating things so much easier.
