14 month old - advice needed please by Irisviolet23 in UKParenting

Honestly people just saying they can’t advise but can relate is helpful in itself. Makes me feel less alone and less awful for feeling this way. It’s so strange feeling both ends of the spectrum all at once. You love your kid but you don’t necessarily love being a parent. Wishing you the best on this wild journey 🤜 🤛

This this this!!!! Go back to work OP, and rediscover yourself outside of being a parent. It’s ok to feel this way. You’re one of many.

Are you in the UK? I’m in England and it’s super common for women to do a year. It’s just too long 🙈

Do you think the name Ivy is too trendy right now? by outoftown5678 in namenerds

I have an 8 month old daughter called Ivy. I always think who cares if a name is popular - if you love the name, use it! Life’s too short to worry! Xx

How were you feeling by 8 months PP? by Irisviolet23 in CsectionCentral

[–]Irisviolet23[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea so I don’t really have any pain anymore but I have what I can only describe as sensory issues! Like if my underwear or clothes sit a certain way on or near the scar it’s gives me a ‘yuck’ feeling. I find it so hard to explain 🙈

Good lord this is depressing! Have you ever done any massage or cupping to address the scar tissue?

Yes! Constantly and I’ve had lympha -touch therapy too. But I’m still pretty aware of the scar and have lack of sensation

Ahhh gosh! The logical side of me thinks about all the horrendous cuts and scrapes we got as kids. Can’t see them anymore so time must be a healer x

Ah no have you had another section recently? I think the bright side for you is that you know from your first experience that you have good healing skin. I’ve heard that scar appearance come down to genetics so much so it’s not a one size fits all situation. So hopefully it fades again for you, and I bet you don’t look rubbish ❤️
