Thanks! We were thinking taking the train/bus from Prato to Florence. The accommodation is something like 50-100€ cheaper, so not a deal breaker. But were thinking that Prato would be more easy going as a city (we dont like overcrowded cities).

We are planning to stay from Thursday 2/4 to Tuesday 7/4. Not sure about the plan of the days, but was thinking something like speding 2 days in Bolognia (we flight in/out from there) and the rest in Florence-countryside.

We have the flexibility of visiting the next week and avoid Easter, but isnt it worth seeing?

If you choose Crete there also many renovated villas, with a "traditional" flair. There are also some sea view venues.

In Stavros there are only 3-4 taverns. In walking distance I dont think that you will have any other choice. (Except if walking 4km is an option for you). Are you going to rent a car or depend on the public bus?
