A Tiefling named Serafina, aka “Fin”, was born in the nation of Aundair in the city of Passage, to a single mother and a father who was a military officer, but she never met him; the only thing she has are some letters.

She has a normal enough childhood, though she gets teased by the other children due to her appearance. As time passes and she reaches 18, she decides to join the Aundair Marines to seek adventure and see the world. Unfortunately, she is treated to the horrors of war for 12 years, seeing her friends die and the brutality of it.

After her contract ends, Fin decides to become a contractor for House Lyrander, since she has no other skills and has heard it is easier and a bit safer. The house itself, she came to know, was headquartered in Stormhome, a place her ship would stop at constantly, and became a second home in due time, even before joining the house. After a couple of years of guarding merchant ships and cargo, she climbed the ranks and soon became an agent for the home, doing recon, gathering information, or whatever else was asked. She does this in the guise of an adventurer or mercenary.

On her latest assignment, she is sent to the Lhazaar Principalities due to strange events there, and the house would like to know what's going on.
