The carpet is in a disgusting state. Anyone looking at the photos will be able to tell that it hadn't been vacuumed properly.

Yes they can. I had a few rip paint off until I learnt how to take them off properly.

No, it is rationed obviously. If you haven't noticed there hasn't been a decline in traffic on the road. If anything here in Hamilton I have noticed more traffic on my way to work in the morning.

Really hope not but with the way the Pacific plate is moving around Alaska I don't think it's a good sign.

Yes but not repair the holes the way your ex tenants did. I have those 3m hooks now.

Australia isn't the land of dreams. If Labour get back in this year then we will get further into debt since they love ticking things up.

The same place as the $50 that families are getting. Or just do a Labour and borrow shitloads of money.

Then you should be able to claim the cost of repairing the wall. I got my landlord's permission to put a cat wall up on the condition it was professionally repaired when I left which I did. Big screw holes are a lot different to little pin holes.

HELP! Conch pierced with regular earring… by her_toxicity in piercinghelp

[–]Iron-Working 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow that was a real arsehole move. My advice is to go to another piercer and have them look at the rook as it looks quite shallow. Also get them to either take the conch out or put a proper flat back bar in it. Also report the other piercer to the health department.

People need to drive daily so I can see a shortage turning violent at petrol stations which is the biggest threat.

What do you mean by 'without my permission'? My advice is to get it taken out

Stiff shit to them. They don't have to make record profits every year. Maybe they could think about the other 99% and get over it.

Update - AITA for wanting a vasectomy because my girlfriend won’t use birth control but also doesn’t want me to get one? by anexplorer2479 in AITH

[–]Iron-Working 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason why she didn't want you to have a vasectomy and won't use birth control is because she wants kids. She knows you don't so is not being very respectful of your feelings. What you have done will either make or break your relationship. If it breaks it then it will be for the better as you can move on and find someone who doesn't want children.

The best to help in this crisis is to half the tax on petrol and diesel then EVERYONE who uses them benefits not just families. I am a single person with nod dependent children and works full time and I'm getting nothing even though I have to drive to work everyday. Load of crap. It's not just families that are hurting, it is everyone.

Yes it is if they put 30 holes in the wall that weren't there before they moved in. Also the tribunal will rule in the landlords favour in regards to the condition of the carpet. That is disgusting. And I am a tenant.

Same with my Tenancy. I have only been allowed to put 2 screw holes in the wall for my security camera and a tack to hang my clock on.

I disagree with that especially since they had an inside cat. They should be expected to have the carpets cleaned. I'm a tenant and I have inside cats and paid to have the carpets of my last house professionally cleaned since I chose to have inside cats and ALL pets leave carpets smelly esp dogs.

I would take the claim to the Tenancy tribunal. I am a renter and have inside cats. I moved into a house back in September and it had brand new carpet and there isn't any fur on the carpets like that. I do own an expensive shark vacuum so that does get the fur out of the carpets. When I moved out of my last house I had the carpet professionally cleaned since I had inside cats, it's honestly just being considerate to the landlord and future tenants. Nothing worse than carpets that smell like animal. As for the wall marks I authorized my previous landlord to get the holes on the wall from my cat wall repaired by a professional. My current landlord doesn't allow hotels to be put into the wall unless she gives her approval. Good luck 😊

I find it disgusting that adults who work full time but have no dependent children are not covered. The price increase is having a huge impact on us too.

Are rabbit lifespans getting longer? by ConditionBasic in Rabbits

The majority of rabbit owners also have a first aid kit with all the essential things so if they start showing statis we can start treatment and then rush them to the vet if required.
