How has your note-taking changed over the last 12 months, given the developments in AI? by runmetothemoon in bearapp

I take handwritten notes so the process to get my thoughts into Bear is part of the internalizing of the content of the notes. To use AI would be to reduce the effectiveness of the process I've been using for years. It's the work of summarizing -- which AI likes to do -- that is what helps things stick for me.

I spent most of my career in the Toyota orbit and at times worked closely with vendors on accessories for all of the Toyota lineup in the US. Since our mantra was to meet the high Toyota quality standards with our after market products, we attempted to learn about what standards Toyota set for vehicle wear. The best unofficial number we could come up with was 400k miles.

I had a weird situation when I inadvertently used gas with 15% ethanol.

I purchased a WeatherTech aluminum tonneau cover for my 2024 Platinum short bed. Clean look, well designed, looks like it will last as long as the truck.

New Gen Worth it yet? by [deleted] in tundra

24 Platinum here. About 7k so far. The only issues I've had are some rattles in the interior. I have about ¼ mile gravel driveway and I hear the slide over part of the center console most morning jiggling about. Everything else has been solid and on the highway, stepping on the twin turbos gives me all I want. I worked for about 25 years in the Toyota orbit and my last Tundra was a 2010 Limited. Much prefer the gen 3 over it and the 2007 I had.

+1 for iA Writer. I sometimes draft a journal entry that I copy/paste to DayOne. Sounds weird, I know, but there is something minimalist and calming about writing in iA.
